Recently, our Kindy and Djara Studios have been embracing Rhythm and Movement as a form of self-regulation (RAMSR) throughout the day. The children’s response to these daily invitations has shown us just how much they value coming together as a community through shared dancing, movement, rhythms, beats and singing.

This video showcases how the children have transferred their knowledge from our RAMSR invitations into their own play contexts, including Bush Kindy. Here, one of our Bush Kindy friends shares her very own original song, inspired by her natural surroundings and experiences at Bush Kindy.🎶🌳

✨In early September, we had a wonderful afternoon celebrating the special people in our lives as Father’s Day approached. We enjoyed coming together with our Mother Duck Wynnum community in an afternoon filled with smiles, conversations and opportunities to celebrate the wonderful relationships that surround our children each day.✨

As one year begins to draw to a close, families naturally start thinking about the next.

Children grow quickly in the early years. Their interests change, friendships deepen, confidence develops and, before we know it, they are ready for new experiences and challenges.

A new year brings change. But alongside that change, there is something equally important for young children: continuity, which gives these experiences time to deepen.

There is something quite special that happens when a child begins to truly know a place.

They know where their hat belongs. They recognise the morning rhythm. They know which educator will understand the look on their face when saying goodbye feels a little difficult. They return to the construction they started yesterday, continue a conversation with a friend, or pick up an idea that has been developing across several days.

Slowly, an early learning environment becomes their place.
