Yesterday we were lucky enough to spot this beautiful rainbow right out the front of the service. 💕🌦️

A lovely reminder that even after the rain, there’s always a little bit of colour and beauty to brighten the day. 🌈✨

🌸🇯🇵 Our Outback Friends have had the most wonderful month of learning all about Japan! 🇯🇵🌸

Throughout the month of July, the children have been immersed in a range of meaningful learning experiences that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for different cultures.

The children explored Japanese traditions through hands-on experiences such as cooking and tasting Japanese foods, learning about the colours and meaning of the Japanese flag, enjoying traditional music, dressing up in Japanese clothing, and creating beautiful Japanese-inspired artworks including cherry blossom paintings. 🎨🌸

These experiences provided opportunities for the children to develop their confidence, explore new sensory experiences, strengthen their creativity, and build an understanding and respect for the diverse world around them.

It has been so special watching the children’s excitement as they discovered new things and shared these experiences together with their friends and educators. ❤️

We can’t wait to see where our curiosity takes us next! 🌏✨

💙👖 Jeans for Genes Day at Charley’s Place 👖💙

On 6.8.2026, our Charley’s Place community came together to celebrate Jeans for Genes Day! Our families and educators arrived dressed in their favourite denim, creating a wonderful atmosphere of connection, support, and belonging.

The children enjoyed getting creative as they gathered together to decorate three denim items. They explored their imagination, shared ideas, and developed their creativity and fine motor skills through this hands-on experience.

It was a beautiful day of learning, community, and coming together to support a meaningful cause. Thank you to all our families and educators for joining in the fun and helping make the day so special! 💙✨

💙👖 Jeans for Genes Day! 👖💙

At Charley's Place, we're proud to be supporting Jeans for Genes Day and helping to raise research and awareness for Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) to help find treatments and cures for birth defects and genetic diseases affecting children.

Our educators and children will be wearing their favourite jeans, and we're adding a fun challenge to the day by completing 100 skips together!

🌿 Meet Our Team: Miss Kiri 🌿

We would like to continue introducing our wonderful team and give our community the opportunity to get to know the educators who help support and guide your children each day.

Today, we’d like to introduce Miss Kiri, our Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in our Under the Sea room. 💙

Miss Kiri has been working in the early childhood industry for over 30 years, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for teaching children. Her love for the industry began when she was old enough to babysit, and from there, her journey grew into a lifelong passion for supporting children and families.

As the youngest of 12 children, Miss Kiri has always been surrounded by connection, care, and community. Throughout her career, she has experienced many different roles within early childhood, from being a student educator through to management, gaining valuable insight and experience along the way.

Miss Kiri’s passion is being part of giving children the best possible start in life. She is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences and supporting children as they grow, learn, and develop.

We are so lucky to have Miss Kiri as part of our Charley’s Place team and can’t wait for you all to get to know her more. 🌊✨

🌿 Meet Our Team 🌿

We would like to take the opportunity to introduce our wonderful team and give our community the chance to get to know the people who support, nurture, and care for your children each day.

Next up, we’d love to introduce Miss Kerry, one of our wonderful educators in our Under the Stars (Nursery) room at Charley’s Place. 💚

Kerry has been working in the early childhood industry for 16 years and has been a valued part of the Charley’s Place team for the past 17 months. Throughout her career, Kerry has developed a deep passion for nurturing young children, especially during their earliest years of growth, development, and discovery.

With her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, as well as her Certificate IV in Individual Support for Children, Kerry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our nursery environment. She is passionate about providing babies with a safe, secure, and nurturing space where they can build confidence, form strong relationships, and reach important developmental milestones at their own pace.

Kerry is also continuing to grow her knowledge and skills by studying Animal Care, with the goal of supporting children through the use of support animals and the many benefits they can provide.

As a mum of three children, aged 24, 19, and 18, Kerry understands the importance of creating strong connections with families and ensuring every child feels loved, valued, and supported. She has also recently stepped into the wonderful role of grandmother, with her first grandchild now 6 weeks old. 💕

Outside of her time at Charley’s Place, Kerry enjoys painting, swimming, and gardening — activities that reflect her creativity, calm nature, and love for the world around her.

Kerry’s caring nature, dedication, and passion for supporting children’s development make her a cherished part of our Charley’s Place family. We are so grateful to have her helping our youngest children feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they begin their early learning journey. 💚
