Our Nursery 2 children have been exploring colours through a simple hands on matching experience- posting coloured paddle pop sticks through their matching holes.

Through this simple play, our children are building colour recognition, verbal language, turn taking, concentration, coordination and the confidence to communicate with others.

Every morning, we sing a little reminder:
I am me. I matter. I belong. 🤍

I Am Me has become part of our morning ritual — a simple song with a powerful message.

As we sing together we’re creating space for children to explore the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child — their right to be themselves, to have a voice, to feel safe, to play, to learn, to belong and to be respected.

Through the rhythm of our mornings, these messages become more than words.

They become something we feel.
Something we practise.
Something we live.

Because every child deserves to know:

I am me.
I have a voice.
I have rights.
And I belong.

There’s no “right” way to make a mark. Just lots of ways to express an idea.

From the first wobbly lines to letters, patterns, maps and stories — children are busy experimenting, communicating and making their thinking visible. Our Mark making spaces provide the tools and resources for our children to experiment with lines, shapes, patterns and symbols as they make meaning. ✏️
