Why Reading to Kids Matters 💛📚
11/08/2026
Hello families,
Just a gentle reminder, we are closed tomorrow(12/08/26) due to the Public Holiday.
We will see you all on Thursday.
🦷✨ A Magical Dental Visit from the Tooth Fairy! ✨🦷
What a special day we had at Guardian Aspley! We were lucky to welcome three friendly dentists who joined us for a fun and interactive dental incursion. The children were especially excited when the Tooth Fairy arrived too... and she wasn't just a fairy, she was a dentist as well! 🧚♀️😁
Together, they checked our teeth, shared important tips about keeping our smiles healthy, and helped us learn the difference between everyday foods 🥕🍎 and sometimes foods 🍭🍫. The children actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and proudly showed off their big smiles.
To top it all off, every child received a special dental care goody bag to take home, complete with a tooth care kit to help continue healthy brushing habits with their families.
A huge thank you to our wonderful dental team and Tooth Fairy for making learning about oral health so engaging, memorable, and fun!
✨ Healthy teeth, bright smiles, and a little Tooth Fairy magic made for a fantastic day! ✨

Little Hands, Big Thinking
TO BE ME: A Great Thinker
Our babies have been exploring sand, loose parts, and contact paper through a variety of sensory provocations. As they touched, patted, pressed, and investigated different materials, they discovered different textures, explored what sticks and what falls off, and began to understand cause and effect.
Through these meaningful experiences, children are building curiosity, confidence, problem-solving skills, and a growing understanding of the world around them. Even our youngest learners are capable, curious, and active thinkers.
Linked to EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners, as they use their senses to investigate, experiment, make discoveries, and develop emerging learning dispositions such as curiosity, persistence, and creativity.
Every touch, every discovery, and every moment of wonder support our children to become Great Thinkers.

Climb, Explore, Discover!
TO BE ME: A Great Mover & A Great Thinker
At Guardian Aspley, we believe children learn best when they are actively exploring, moving, and discovering the world around them.
Our children have been busy working together as they navigated soft cushions and climbing frames, challenging themselves to climb higher, balance carefully, and find new ways to move their bodies. With determination and confidence, they tested their abilities, solved problems, and celebrated their achievements along the way.
As Great Movers, children develop strength, coordination, balance, body awareness, and resilience. As Great Thinkers, they plan their movements, assess risks, make decisions, overcome challenges, and discover what they are capable of achieving.
Through experiences like these, children learn that sometimes the best learning happens when things feel a little tricky. Each climb, step, and attempt helps build confidence, independence, and a positive "I can do it!".
At Guardian Aspley's To Be Me program, we celebrate every child's unique journey as they grow into confident movers, curious thinkers, and capable learners.
Climbing higher, thinking deeper, growing stronger... one adventure at a time!
🌿🐸 Exploring Life Cycles Through Curiosity and Discovery! 🐍🥑
Our Kindy children have been passionate about exploring life cycles and the incredible ways living things grow and change. What began with an interest in the life cycle of a frog has expanded into investigations of snakes, avocados and many other fascinating topics that have sparked the children's curiosity.
Through carefully planned provocations, meaningful discussions and hands-on learning experiences, our wonderful ECT, Miss Sue, has been supporting the children to deepen their understanding, ask questions, share theories and develop their knowledge in creative ways. The children have been highly engaged in researching, drawing, creating, documenting and revisiting their learning through floor books and collaborative conversations.
It has been wonderful to see the children confidently share their ideas, make connections to the world around them and take ownership of their learning journey. Their enthusiasm, curiosity and eagerness to learn have truly brought this project to life!
We can't wait to see where their questions and discoveries lead us next. 💚✨

Pyjama Week Fun – Even the Educators Joined In!
Who says pyjamas are just for bedtime? 😄
This week, our centre was filled with cosy pyjamas, big smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun! The children loved arriving in their favourite PJs and proudly showing them off to their friends and educators.
But the fun didn't stop with the children—our educators joined in too! It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the spirit of Pyjama Week and enjoying a few days of extra comfort. We have to admit; it doesn't hurt coming to work in pyjamas every now and then! 😉
Throughout the week, the children enjoyed a range of exciting experiences, shared special moments with friends across the centre, and created wonderful memories together. It was heartwarming to see children and educators connecting, laughing, learning, and celebrating as one big Guardian family.
A huge thank you to our families for helping make Pyjama Week such a fun and memorable celebration
