๐ What a truly special morning at St Joseph's! ๐
As we celebrate Catholic Education Week and this year's theme, "Share Your Light, Inspire Others," today reminded us that grandparents and special people are some of the brightest lights in a child's life. Through their love, wisdom, encouragement and unwavering support, they help shape hearts, nurture faith and inspire future generations.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Year 1 students, Ms Trimble, Miss Clifford and Mrs Cole for leading today's beautiful Grandparents & Special Persons Day Liturgy. Your thoughtful preparation and meaningful celebration made this a truly memorable occasion for everyone who attended.
A huge thank you also goes to our amazing St Joseph's community who generously donated baked treats, fruit platters and other delicious goodies for our morning tea. Your kindness and generosity helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our special guests.
Our church was filled to capacity, with standing room only and many guests overflowing onto the school groundsโa beautiful reminder of the incredible community that surrounds our Joeys and the important role grandparents and special visitors play in the lives of our students.
The excitement continued as our classrooms came alive with smiles, laughter and proud moments as students shared their learning with their VIPs. There was something truly special about watching generations connectโsharing stories, celebrating achievements and creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
And, of course, no Grandparents & Special Persons Day would be complete without a visit to our Book Fair. It was heartwarming to watch grandparents and special visitors choose a special book for their grandchild. Many took the time to write a personal message inside the cover, turning a simple book into a treasured keepsake that will forever remind their little person of this very special day.
Today was a beautiful reminder that when we share our light, we inspire others to do the same. Thank you to every grandparent, special visitor, family member, volunteer and staff member who helped make today such a meaningful celebration of faith, family and community. Your love, your presence and your light made today shine a little brighter for every Joey. ๐โจ๐

๐๐ Our Most Special Week of the Term Has Arrived! ๐๐
This week, our St Joseph's community looks forward to one of the most treasured days on our school calendar, Grandparents & Special Persons Day. ๐ค
On Wednesday 29 July, we warmly welcome the wonderful grandparents and special people in our students' lives to join us for our Catholic Education Week Liturgy before spending precious time together in the classrooms.
These moments are so much more than a school visit. They are an opportunity to celebrate the love, wisdom and memories that connect generations. Watching our Joeys proudly share their learning with the people who mean so much to them is always one of the highlights of our year. ๐
๐ Our St Joseph's Book Fair will also be open throughout the day, giving families the chance to browse together. One of our favourite traditions is seeing grandparents choose a special book for their grandchild and write a heartfelt message inside the cover a keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.
Alongside this very special celebration, Week 3 is also packed with exciting opportunities including:
๐ต Instrumental Music & Choir
๐พ Tennis
๐ Little Athletics
๐ Junior & Senior Dance
