π¦ LEC Cards in Action at Sacred Heart! π¦
At Sacred Heart, we love celebrating our students who live out our school values of Love, Excellence and Courage (LEC) each day. When a staff member notices a student demonstrating these values, they are awarded a LEC Card. Students fill out their card and place it into one of our barrels β with one located on the junior side and one on the senior side of the school. Every Friday, we hold a LEC draw at our morning briefing, where lucky students are chosen and can collect a prize from the office at first break.
π New this term β the LEC Tower!
After the weekly draw, all remaining LEC cards are added to our school-wide LEC Tower. Each level of the tower represents a whole-school reward, and we are already about three-quarters of the way to our first milestone!
Even better, our students have had a voice in choosing the rewards, with ideas including:
π Sausage sizzle
π Free dress day
π¦ Ice block day
We love seeing our students motivated to show Love, Excellence and Courage every day. Do you think we will reach the first line before the end of term? Keep an eye out on our notices, as we will share updates about our first whole-school reward!

π Sacred Heart Feast Day π
Today we come together as a school community to celebrate our Sacred Heart Feast Day β a special occasion at the heart of who we are.
As we gather in prayer and celebration, we reflect on the love of Jesus and the values that guide us each day β kindness, compassion, and service to others.
It is always a joyful opportunity to celebrate our faith, strengthen our community, and give thanks for the many gifts we share at Sacred Heart.
Wishing all our families a blessed and happy Feast Day! ππ

Today, our students stepped into the world of journalism as they worked collaboratively to film their own news broadcasts exploring the topic of asylum seekers. Through drama, research and role-play, students developed their understanding of different perspectives while building confidence in communication, creativity and teamwork.
Here are a few snapshots from our Drama Immersion Day, showcasing the enthusiasm, imagination and dedication our students brought to their learning. We are so proud of the way they embraced the challenge and brought their stories to life on screen! ππΉ

π Happy School Officer Day! π
Today we take a moment to celebrate the incredible School Officers who make such a difference in our community every single day. π
From supporting learning in the classroom, to caring for our students in the playground, to helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes β your dedication, kindness and hard work do not go unnoticed.
You are the calm in busy moments, the extra pair of hands when it matters most, and the friendly faces our students rely on. π
Thank you for the care, patience and commitment you bring to Sacred Heart each day. We are so grateful for all that you do to support our students, staff and families.

πΏπ¦ Introducing LECβs Litter Legends! π¦πΏ
Weβre excited to launch a fantastic new student-led initiative at Sacred Heart β LECβs Litter Legends!
This idea came straight from our students during LEC time, where they shared thoughtful ways we could reduce rubbish around our school. One standout suggestion? A dedicated team equipped to safely collect litter and care for our environment. And now, our Litter Legends are in action! β»οΈ
Students who step up to keep our school clean are recognised with an LEC card for demonstrating care, responsibility and pride in their environment. Itβs been wonderful to see such enthusiasm and ownership from our students β their commitment to keeping Sacred Heart clean is truly inspiring.
π Well done, Litter Legends, for leading the way in making our school a cleaner, greener place to learn and play! π±

π Champagnat Feast Day π
Yesterday we celebrated the Feast Day of St Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Brothers and an inspiration to our Sacred Heart community.
Our students and staff came together in prayer and celebration, reflecting on Champagnatβs message of love, kindness and service to others. This yearβs theme, βClothe Yourself With Kindness,β reminds us of the importance of caring for those in need and supporting our wider community.
Thank you to Champagnat House for leading us in such a meaningful and joyful celebration! π«
