Brisbane Urban Environmental Education Centre

In 2024 we began our mission of ensuring we share our grounds with the local wildlife that inhabit our urban spaces with us. We removed the asphalt and began returning parts of our footprint back to the ecosystem that existed before we were here. The plants have grown and animals are starting to return. Today we were lucky enough to find that our local Bush-Stone Curlews have decided that our little patch of bushland is perfect to nest in. Creating these spaces is a great way to ensure our amazing biodiversity is supported in our urban areas and provide opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom.

It seems so long since Show Camp!
