Manly West Outside School Hours Care QLD has a vacancy for a qualified educator to join our friendly team.
All staff are required to hold, or be willing to immediately obtain:
* A blue card for working with children (before commencement, at the applicants expense)
* First aid, including asthma and anaphylaxis training.
A copy of the position description is available by request as the position has varied tasks including supervision of children, documentation of activities and learning, program/activity planning, cleaning, meal prep and much more.
The service is willing to train suitable applicants who have a willingness to learn on the job and use initiative to expand their professional knowledge and growth.

APRIL VACATION CARE 🐣❤️
This past vacation care has been so enjoyable for all our OSHC Children & Staff. Some of the best activities this round included The bubble Soccer, Jumping castles, Nature play and The Petting zoo.
It’s been such a great experience to connect with so many people, animals and environments around us and we are so grateful to watch these children learn and grow daily.
Thank you for one of the best Vacation care holidays. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next vacation care 😛

VACATION CARE DAY 2 ⚽️ BUBBLE SOCCER
04/04/2023
Today our vacation care group had the most fun jumping inside our inflatable soccer balls and playing bump ems with our friends and we even had races to see who would roll the fastest! The children also built Lego creations and made fairy bread at the mega foam party. We loved today and are so so excited for our annual Easter fiesta day tomorrow!

VACATION CARE DAY 1 - Colour Run day 3/4/23 🌈
Today our vacation care group had so much fun participating in our colour run. The children set challenges for themselves and thrived in today’s rotations that included more obstacle course competitions and minute to win it.

Sustainability at Manly west OSHC ♻️🌱
Today at OSHC we went on an environmental journey surrounding our community at OSHC and what it means to practice sustainability. During our ASC Session the intermediate group helped to gather natural resources that we could use for our new and improved loose parts box!
The senior children were interested in our vegetable and herb garden & the Junior group helped to create a visual representation of a part of our community using the Woolworths Lego. We were so happy with our outcome as it shows the importance of growing our produce and how it starts from the ground and ends in our fridges and cupboards.

Sustainability is critical to maintaining our quality of life, the diversity of life on earth, and the health of earth's resource-rich ecosystems. Sustainable environmental practices improve water and air quality, reduce landfills, and increase renewable energy sources in the long term. We feel like this is so important to practice with our future generations, We’ve had so much fun today and can’t wait for more fun!

CLOSING THE GAP AT MWSS OSHC
March 16th is the day that aims to close the health and life expectancy gap between indigenous and non indigenous Australians.
To begin the afternoon we spoke about our oshc Acknowledgment Of Country and what it means to us. We wanted to ignite our passion for this campaign so we decided to run an all-ages basketball shooting competition, this encouraged all of our children to have a go at something new or show off some skills they already had. So many children loved this activity and we were so proud of today’s accomplishments🫶🏼
