💡 I had an idea - one that was born out of pure frustration. 😩

I had been working as a school Marketing Manager, juggling projects and being in 3 places at once. 😉 If you know, you know!

🛣️ I knew there was a better way.

I mean, it makes no ‘commercial’ sense for a Marketing Manager to spend precious time doing basic tasks like compiling promo bags and stuffing envelopes. Am I right? (right!)

But, there was work to be done - Conundrum⁉️

I would think to myself, I was doing this type of work when I started my career at 19 years old… and 💖 loved 💖 every minute of it!!!

Wait, what a great idea. 💡💡💡

With youth unemployment at a high in early 2022 and my passion for mentoring young people, I thought what a great opportunity - 🧑‍💼 let’s get young people with an aptitude for marketing working!

What if we placed talented people into junior marketing roles to help alleviate the workload from the Marketing Manager so their time could be better spent?!

😌 Brilliant!

Turns out there are so many young marketing graduates who are struggling to get a start in their careers. 🏆 WIN, 🏆 WIN!

So in 2022, we launched the Marcomms Academy Marketing Junior Program across Australia!

It is essential that key information such as the educational plan and methodology are clearly visible. The school’s website is also the best place to showcase the school’s offering in terms of online courses and additional services (canteen, sports club, extracurricular activities, etc.

To be up-to-date with current digital marketing trends, the website can offer:

10 Ways to Build Your Resilience

The good news is that even if you're not a naturally resilient person, you can learn to develop a resilient mindset and attitude.

According to psychologist, Susan Kobasa, there are three main elements that resilient people possess. These are challenge, commitment, and control.

There are 10 key things you can to develop your resilience:

1. Learn to relax.
2. Practice thought awareness.
3. Edit your outlook.
4. Learn from your mistakes and failures.
5. Choose your response.
6. Maintain perspective.
7. Set yourself some goals.
8. Build your self-confidence.
9. Develop strong relationships.
10. Be flexible.

My takeaway for me was number 6 - Maintain perspective!

Resilient people understand that, although a situation or crisis may seem overwhelming in the moment, it may not make that much of an impact over the long-term. Try to avoid blowing events out of proportion.

📸 VISUAL CONTENT MASTERCLASS 🎥

Marketing Juniors will learn the magic of capturing engaging content with expert photographers and videographers to guide them through a project to implement in Term 2.

The program empowers young people to pursue their career in a growth industry while supporting advancement of schools. High-level school advancement professionals also have the opportunity to lead and mentor a young person starting out in their career.

We are working with a number of schools in QLD, NSW and WA to place their Marketing Junior. We are matching Employer Partners with young, dynamic, graduates with a passion for marketing and communications to offer support for busy school marketing and communication departments.
