Each piece of research I find is available for you to read in the UNITS section at this group.
If you want a faster experience, see how I have translated the research into my clinical practice into a video training program which is available for purchase. This training was accepted and delivered at the Australasian lymphology Virtual Conference this year.

Education sessions for women/ men after mastectomy, please share if you know someone that might like to know more about rehab/recovery after breast cancer.
Starting next week, I am starting Stay at Home Self-Healing weekly sessions for people after mastectomy. With COVID 19 stay at home restrictions, I have more time to devote to health and wellness sharing and practice- what about you?
This will be an educational video project where I can offer general advice on topics like self-testing arm movement, skin movement, muscle tightness (front, side and back), deep scar tissue, breath and rib cage changes and then each week offer a stay-at-home healing strategy that can be practised over the week.
Because this is not medical/allied health advice for individuals (you know why- medico-legal reasons) then these practices will allow you to see how many different techniques there are that can be considered for rehab/ recovery and allow you to have a better conversation with your oncology health professional. Can't ask, if you don't know what is possible- right?
Because of the time frames- live from Australia to UK (5am is UK 8pm) will not work for me to do live video sessions, so will post a short video here. If you are interested then the longer video session will be on my website.
What do you want to know more about physical recovery after breast cancer? I would love your support and ideas-as this trial project during stay- at- home CV19 could definitely be rolled out after to help others.
PS- this has not been done before, so I am a bit nervous but very excited to share my 30 yrs of experience in this area- time for giving back during face to face restrictions
Use comments or DM with your email address, if you want to be on email/messenger link reminder.

Why do we need ALND Thinkfest?
There are recent studies, which are not easy to find, that describe changes to the surface and deep chest muscles following Axillary Lymph Node Dissection.
One especially interesting paper is here- Check out Fig 2, it offers some objective findings that I believe should lead to better aftercare. Please share this with your oncology rehab professional.
Mechanical properties of the shoulder and pectoralis major in breast cancer patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery with axillary surgery and radiotherapy
Breast-conserving surgery (BCS) and radiotherapy reduce breast cancer recurrence but can cause functional deficits in breast cancer survivors. A cross-sectional study quantified the long-term pathophysiological impact of these treatments on biomechanical measures of shoulder stiffness and ultrasound...
