On Sunday, 19 April 2026, the students and families of Venba Tamil School, Randburg - வெண்பா தமிழ் பள்ளி, இராண்டுபர்க் came together for a joyful celebration of the 5127th Tamil New Year, Paraabava Varusham✨🪔

🌱🪻It was a day filled with laughter, tradition, music, dance, and delicious food as we honored our heritage and passed it on to the next generation. Tamil New Year marks a fresh beginning, a time for gratitude, hope, and new resolutions. It’s important we celebrate it to keep our language, culture, and identity alive in our beautiful South Africa🇿🇦🌻

When we preserve our language, we preserve our culture.
When we teach our children their mother tongue, we gift them their identity.

மொழி என்பது பேசுவதற்கான ஒரு வழி மட்டுமல்ல — அது நமது அடையாளம், பண்பாடு மற்றும் பாரம்பரியம் ஆகும். தாய்மொழி நம்மை நமது வேர்களுடன், முன்னோர்களுடன் மற்றும் மரபுகளுடன் இணைக்கிறது.
