Please note that Stageworx will be closed for our Midterm Break from 29 June – 6 July.

While classes and administrative operations take a short pause, our team will be working behind the scenes in full rehearsal mode as we prepare for The Big Bad Musical at Roodepoort Theatre! 🐺✨

Another Shakespeare Opportunity! Step beyond the classroom and into the world of Shakespeare with this rare opportunity to explore Twelfth Night alongside legendary director Janice Honeyman.

Through practical text work, scene study, and performance exercises, this two-day masterclass is designed for high school learners with a passion for drama, literature, and performance. Whether you are preparing for exams, auditions, or simply love Shakespeare, this is your chance to bring the text to life.

Please join us in welcoming Evanca Moolman as Miss Muffet, the sharp-minded and highly clinical psychiatrist in The Big Bad Musical! 🕷️🛋️🐺

When the Big Bad Wolf finds himself on trial, Miss Muffet is called to provide expert psychological insight into one very important question: Is the Wolf truly a menace to society, or has he simply been misunderstood all these years? With her analytical mind and professional expertise, Miss Muffet may hold some of the most intriguing evidence in the entire case!

Evanca Moolman is a passionate performer and proud Stageworx graduate with a love for storytelling and live performance. Some of her performance credits include Italian Flair, Born to Perform, Kikkerland Children's Theatre Show, and Drizzels Children's Theatre. Alongside theatre, she has also been involved in various commercial, corporate, and touring productions. Evanca is incredibly excited to be part of this production and to continue sharing her passion for performance with audiences.

We are thrilled to have Evanca joining the cast and can't wait for audiences to see her bring this wonderfully unique character to life!

🐷⚖️ MEET THE THREE LITTLE PIGS! ⚖️🐷

Every good trial needs key witnesses, and in The Big Bad Musical, few witnesses are more important than the famous Three Little Pigs!

We are delighted to introduce Aidan Mc Arthur, Antonio Leita, and Jade Kabatznik as Pig 1, Pig 2, and Pig 3 in this hilarious family musical coming to Roodepoort Theatre this July.

🐷 Aidan Mc Arthur – Pig 1
Aidan is currently training at Stageworx School of Performing Arts and previously trained at the renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir, where he developed a strong foundation in vocal performance and stagecraft. His theatre credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Dream On at the Playhouse Theatre in Durban. He was also a featured chorister in the 2019 West End anniversary performance of The Lion King and performed with the Masterwork Festival Choruses at Carnegie Hall in New York. Aidan is a dedicated performer whose passion for storytelling through music and live performance shines through in every role he takes on.

🐷 Antonio Leita – Pig 2
Antonio is an actor currently training at Stageworx School of Performing Arts as a Musical Theatre and Film student. He continues to build his performance repertoire through a variety of productions, performances, and events, including the Marble Magical Family Event. Antonio is excited to be taking on this next adventure and bringing Pig 2 to life on the Roodepoort Theatre stage.

🐷 Jade Kabatznik – Pig 3
Jade is a passionate performer and Stageworx Accelerator student who continues to develop her skills in musical theatre, acting, and performance. Her recent performance credits include Marble Family Fest, Born To Perform 2025, and the Montecasino Cherry Flashmob. As Dance Captain for the production, Jade brings both leadership and energy to the cast and is thrilled to be part of this exciting production.

But when these three famous pigs take the witness stand, will they finally prove the Big Bad Wolf is guilty... or will their testimony reveal that the story we've all been told isn't quite the truth?

👵🐑 MEET GRANDMOTHER HOOD & THE SHEPHERD! 🐑👵

We are delighted to introduce Kristy Suttner as Grandmother Hood and The Shepherd in The Big Bad Musical at Roodepoort Theatre this July!

A familiar face within South Africa's entertainment industry, Kristy Suttner is a singer, actress, MC, voice artist, director, and writer who has been active in the theatre scene since 2002. Over the years, she has built a successful and diverse career spanning stage, screen, and voice work.

Her theatre credits include productions such as Fiddler on the Roof at the Joburg Theatre and Mix Tape at Theatre on the Square. Television audiences may also recognise her from her recent role as Principal Valentina on ETV's Scandal!

Alongside fellow performer Mort Williams, Kristy co-founded Ginger Cube Productions, producing acclaimed productions including The Full Monty and Live Jukebox. She is also one of South Africa's most sought-after voice artists, lending her voice to leading brands while maintaining a successful career as a corporate performer and songstress.

Now, Kristy is thrilled to return to the musical theatre stage and share it with the next generation of performers in The Big Bad Musical.

As Grandmother Hood, she may know more about the events surrounding Little Red Riding Hood than anyone else. And as The Shepherd, she has her own perspective on the Big Bad Wolf's reputation. But will her testimony help the jury uncover the truth?

We are delighted to introduce Malakai Marinus as The Boy Who Cried Wolf in The Big Bad Musical at Roodepoort Theatre this July!

Malakai is a part-time Stageworx student with a passion for singing, acting, and musical theatre. Despite his young age, he has already appeared in a number of exciting productions and events, including Born To Perform at the Teatro at Montecasino, performances for the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and he had the honour of performing for President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Marvel Magical Circus event, the Montecasino Cherry Flashmob, and the Naledi Award-nominated production Meatloaf: The Rebel Ride.

When he is not performing, Malakai is a proud student at Alma Mater International School in Krugersdorp, where he balances his academic studies with his love of the performing arts.

As the infamous Boy Who Cried Wolf, Malakai finds himself taking the witness stand in the trial of the century. But after one too many false alarms, can the jury really trust what he has to say? His testimony could change everything!

MEET YOUR FAIRY GODMOTHER! 🧚‍♀️✨

The courtroom is in session, the witnesses are lining up, and magic is about to take the stand!

We are delighted to introduce Jessica Driver as the enchanting Fairy Godmother in The Big Bad Musical at Roodepoort Theatre this July!

Jessica's journey in the performing arts began at the age of six when she started freestyle dancing. She later joined Stageworx Performing Arts School in 2016 to study Musical Theatre, obtaining her LTCL Diploma through Trinity Guildhall London before graduating in 2018. Since 2025, Jessica has been teaching full-time at Stageworx, sharing her passion and expertise with the next generation of performers.

Jessica was cast in her first professional production in 2019, playing Sherrie in Rock of Ages at Montecasino's Teatro. She then went on to perform as Holly in Santa Claus is Coming to Town at Pieter Toerien's Theatre, Montecasino.

Most recently, Jessica spent three years touring internationally as Agnetha in Dancing Queen – A Tribute to ABBA and as a dancer in Simply The Best – A Tribute to Tina Turner. Through her work both on stage and as an educator, Jessica continues to bring energy, professionalism, and heart to every project she is part of.

As the magical Fairy Godmother, Jessica takes the witness stand in the trial of the century. Will her testimony help uncover the truth behind the Big Bad Wolf's case, or will it leave the jury with even more questions?
