April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

This month, we celebrate the beauty of neurodiversity and the unique ways in which every child experiences and interacts with the world. Autism is not something to be “fixed” It is something to be understood, accepted, and embraced.

At our school, we are deeply committed to creating an environment where every child feels seen, valued, and supported for exactly who they are. Just as importantly, we believe in guiding our neurotypical children to grow into compassionate, inclusive individuals.

Through everyday moments, we encourage our children to embrace love over judgment and connection over comparison.

Because when children learn acceptance early, they carry it with them for life.

Let us continue to build a community where every child belongs, every voice matters, and kindness leads the way. 💙

Last week we had The Hearing & Tinnitus Studio come in for our annual hearing screenings 👂

And let us tell you… it was nothing short of a full production!

Between the intense concentration, dramatic reactions, and a few Oscar-worthy performances… we can confidently say:
✔️ Ears were tested
✔️ Teachers were entertained
✔️ Personalities were LOUD and clear 😂

On a serious note, these screenings are so important for catching any hearing challenges early, especially in these busy little learners 💛

Thank you to the amazing team for making it fun, gentle, and stress-free!

Last week we welcomed back the team from Optometrist for our annual eye screenings! 👀

Vision plays a huge role in a child’s early learning and development. In the preschool years, little ones are developing important skills like hand-eye coordination, tracking words and pictures, focusing on activities, and interacting confidently with their friends and teachers.

Early screenings help identify any vision concerns that might affect learning, concentration, or participation in classroom activities. When detected early, many issues can be easily supported or treated, helping children feel more confident and comfortable as they explore and learn.

Thank you to the Eyetek team for helping us keep our little people seeing the world clearly!

Last week some of our team had the privilege of attending a workshop hosted by Jennifer Maud Therapy Group, all about Neurodiversity in the Classroom 🌈✨

What a fun-filled, eye-opening evening it was! We laughed, we learnt, we reflected. And most importantly, we walked away with valuable tools and fresh insight to better support every unique little learner in our care.

At our school, we celebrate that no two brains are the same 💛 Every child experiences the world in their own beautiful way, and we are committed to creating a classroom environment where each one feels seen, understood and supported.

A big thank you to Jennifer Maud Therapy Group for equipping us with knowledge, practical strategies and plenty of “aha!” moments!

Growing minds, growing hearts, always learning 🌱

Our amazing team celebrating the magic of new beginnings and the joy of the Chinese New Year 🐴 ❤️🧧

17/02/2026

At Buckets and Books, 2026 is all about growing little hearts and minds by increasing awareness of the beautiful cultures and traditions within our community.
Today, we proudly celebrate our families who welcome the Chinese New Year.
It is a time of new beginnings, family, joy, and good fortune, and what a special opportunity for our little ones to learn that while we may celebrate differently, we all celebrate love, togetherness, and hope.
Here is to raising children who are curious, kind, inclusive, and proud of the diverse world around them.
Happy Chinese New Year to our families celebrating!

We don’t just learn and play….
We learn how to be kind, how to share, and how to care. ❤️

Valentine’s / Friendship Day is a beautiful reminder that love lives in the small things, a hug from a friend, words of kindness and a proud smile.

Our hearts are happy today. 💕

What a joy it was to welcome our little people back to school today ❤️
Smiles at the gate, big hugs and classrooms filled with laughter once again, with some brand-new faces joining our family too.

The first day of the year is always so special, full of new beginnings, familiar friends, and a warm welcome to our new families. We are so grateful to share another year of learning, growing, playing, and making beautiful memories together. 😉
