The Turning Point Education We partner with families through their educational journeys. TTP is owned and managed by teachers who are passionate about children's academic success.

The Turning Point was started by Tanya McCarthy (Educational Specialist) in July 2013. She has been involved in education in South Africa for the past 25 years and has seen the need for Educational Support for children. At The Turning Point, every child is treated as an individual and given the time and attention they deserve. When learning problems go undetected, children develop feelings of hope

lessness, and as they become increasingly aware of their 'failure' and lack of achievement, they go into a downward spiral and are eventually labelled as 'lazy' or 'problem' children. Emotional problems that develop in children with learning difficulties can be more debilitating than the learning difficulty itself.

The Turning Point Education seeks to employ a Home School Tutor for a Grade 5 student from January 2027.

Description of Work:
* ⁠Wynberg Cape Town
* ⁠Tutoring required 5 days per week, 3 hours per day, during normal school terms.
* Full curriculum will be supplied.
* ⁠Salaried position

The tutor will be required to prepare and present fun and engaging lessons across all subjects (English, Afrikaans, Maths, Natural Science, Social Science and Life Skills).
