Sim Wha Taekwon-Do Club was founded by 6th Degree black belt (International Instructor - Sabum) Justin Glanville in 1997. Sim Wha is affiliated to the International Taekwon-Do Federation and specializes in Chang-Hun (ITF) style Taekwon-Do. We currently have two Taekwon-Do schools (Dojangs) located in Johannesburg, South Africa - which are in Randburg and Ennerdale.
Taekwon-Do is a Korean Martial
Art that originated from Korea during the 1940's. The name Taekwon-Do directly translated means: Tae (Foot Fighting) Kwon (Hand/Fist Fighting) Do (Art or Way of) – therefore “The Art of Hand and Foot Fighting”.
Taekwon-Do covers all aspects of training from Self Defence to Sport/Competition, Fitness, flexibility and general well-being.
Sim Wha Taekwon-Do Club is also affiliated to MASA and SASCOC. District, Provincial and National (Protea) Colours are achievable through tournaments that are held during the year.
