Diverse City A unique SPIRIT FILLED learning environment

Diverse City was born out of a passion for an alternative way of learning, when our daughter started at a learning centre called: The Bridging Centre, our very concept of ‘learning’ and ‘school’ was challenged; we began to very clearly see the desperate need for this alternative way of learning, when we realized that she would need this type of environment once her season at The Bridging Centre was over, we began to pray and research and ask questions; through this adventure; we began to dream of a learning environment where the trinity permeates our children’s very way of existence. We received a very specific and unique vision from The Lord and so DVC was born; Our vision is ultimately for our children to realize who they are in Jesus Christ, for them to fall in love with learning…to experience a free environment where they can think, create and innovate, a safe place where they can make mistakes and experiment; an atmosphere that encourages them not to conform but challenge the status quo and dream BIG, a practical learning experience that encompasses both academics and life as well as arts, culture, sports etc
Where the Kingdom of Heaven is practically lived out every single day, where each child can love themselves just for who they are = an extraordinary, unique and vitally important creation
A pathway of learning and experiencing, trying, creating, dreaming and living……

Strange questions answered...Why is it called a loo?
In medieval Europe people didn’t care too much about hygiene. They threw all the contents out the window down on the street below. In France when the danger was on the rise people shouted “garde l’eau,” which means “watch out for the water.” Later this phrase was Anglicized, first to “gardy-loo!”, then just “loo.”
..strange but true!
