We spent this afternoon catching up with some of our past students, and our hearts are so full. One of our beauty therapy students Memory has opened her own salon since completing her course — and she’s been doing amazingly. December was her best month yet, and we couldn’t be prouder.✨️

We also received the sweetest message from our girl Lucy, and moments like these remind us exactly why we do what we do.❤️

A Big-Sister Note to My Beauty Girls🌸

When you’re starting out in the beauty industry, it’s easy to feel like you must accept every client who comes your way—especially the ones who complain about prices, ask for discounts, or make you feel guilty for charging what you’re worth. I want you to know this, gently but honestly: not every client is meant for you.
Clients who constantly penny-pinch and complain often don’t respect your skill, your time, or your growth. You can give them your best work, extra effort, and even your heart—and they may still walk away unhappy. Worse, they’re often the first to speak badly about you, even when you did nothing wrong.
As women building our businesses, we must learn that saying no is not being rude, greedy, or unkind. It’s protecting your energy, your confidence, and your reputation. One wrong client can make you doubt yourself, while the right ones will remind you why you started.
I want you to build a business that feels safe, respected, and fulfilling—not one built on fear and over-explaining. Trust that the clients who value you will find you. And when someone doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to politely step back.
Your work has value.
Your time has value.
And so do you.
