The ASCHP is proud to have been invited to participate in the Phagameng High School Career Expo on 16 June 2026, a SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) initiative aimed at helping learners explore career opportunities, understand educational pathways, and make informed decisions about their futures.

ASCHP looks forward to engaging with learners, sharing information about the counselling profession, and highlighting the important role that designated counsellors play in supporting individuals, families, workplaces, and communities across South Africa.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation of helping professionals and to showcase the educational and professional pathways available to those who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
🤝 Existing ASCHP members are also warmly invited to join us for the meet-and-greet, where you will have the opportunity to connect with learners, educators, parents, fellow members, and community stakeholders throughout the day.

Employee well - being is no longer a side conversation.
Across organisations, leaders are being asked to sustain performance while employees are carrying heavier psychological, financial and emotional loads. Burnout, disengagement and mental health risk are now directly connected to productivity, retention, trust and organisational resilience.
That is why I’m pleased to be speaking at the Employee Well-being, Engagement and Mental Health in the Workplace Conference 2026, hosted by Knowledge Resources!
My session will focus on Workplace Wellness, Engagment and Mental Health where I’ll be sharing insights on Redesigning Employee Well-being Stategies and what organisations can do to move from good intentions to evidence - informed action.
I’m looking forward to joining fellow practitioners, HR leaders, wellness specialists and organisational decision - makers for an important conversation about how we design healthier, more sustainable workplaces in South Africa.

I asked Chat GPT to create an image of me based on everything it could pull online.
And honestly, I’m not mad at it😂 although I’m not very cartoon like😂
Prompt is below:
Good morning ChatGpt! I have a little favour to ask. It’s image time! Based on everything you know about me, create an infographic of me. Use the colors that best describe the content you find. Make it 3D cartoon style. Search the internet and base the information purely on what you find.
Would love to see yours!

What if strategy meetings and wellbeing walks were the same thing?
What if wellness became something that was integrated into work instead of it feeling like work?
How would that contribute to your wellbeing at work?

May 2026 is a historical health win month for so many women!
PCOS is now PMOS - a huge acknowledgment and validation to millions of women who live with this condition. From personal experience I am so happy that this has happened in my lifetime - after living with chronic pain, early years of not being able to conceive and the hormonal issues related to this “invisible” condition
