How our teachers and therapists pivot at Orion College! 🙂🙂
As teachers and therapists, we know that not every lesson goes according to plan. Sometimes the activity we prepared doesn’t engage the learners, the strategy we chose isn’t effective, or the needs of the children require us to change direction. In those moments, we pivot—not because we have failed, but because we are responding to what our learners need.
When a lesson doesn’t work, we adjust. When a child struggles, we find a new approach. When life takes an unexpected turn, we trust God to lead the way. A pivot is not a setback—it is often the pathway to purpose.
May we teach our children that flexibility is a strength, perseverance is powerful, and that sometimes the most beautiful outcomes come from a change in direction.
“A pivot is simply choosing a new path toward the same purpose.” 💛

Our Grade 2 learners proudly showcased their English Sea Animals Speeches, sharing interesting facts and building confidence in their public speaking skills. They also displayed their creativity by designing impressive 3D animal homes using recyclable materials. We are so proud of the effort, imagination and enthusiasm they showed in both projects. Well done, Grade 2's! 🐠🐢♻️

Our Grade 5 and 6 learners have been very busy in their NST subject. The Grade 5 learners explored combining materials, learning how different substances can be mixed to create something new. 🧪✨
For their investigation, they completed a fun and hands-on paper mâché project using balloons, flour, and water to build their creations. 🎈🖌️
It was a fantastic way to experiment, get creative, and see science in action! 💡🎨
While the Grade 6 learners designed and built their own water filters 💧✨
As part of our topic on cleaning water, they explored how different materials can be used in layers to filter impurities — from gravel and sand to cotton and charcoal. The hands-on investigation helped them see just how challenging it is to turn dirty water into clean, usable water.
A fantastic mix of curiosity, problem-solving, and real-world science learning in action! 👩🔬👨🔬🌍
