Sport has the power to change lives when young people are given the space to play, grow, and compete.
By donating a multi-purpose sports complex to St. Mary’s Secondary School in Mahikeng, North West, MultiChoice is investing in more than infrastructure: we’re investing in confidence, discipline, and opportunity for the learners who will use it every day.
“Access to sport plays an important role in how young people grow, learn and connect. When learners are engaged in structured sport, they are more likely to feel a sense of belonging, stay active, and develop confidence and discipline that extends beyond the field,” said Dr Keabetswe Modimoeng, MultiChoice Executive Vice President: Public Affairs (Rest of Africa).
This facility creates a home for sport within the school, offering learners a place to discover their abilities, express themselves, and build a sense of pride in their community. Because when access is created, potential follows. Every learner deserves the chance to be seen, supported, and inspired.

We continue to invest in spaces that inspire, uplift, and unlock potential. Through the donation of a multi-purpose sports complex to Credence PrimarySchool in Bloemfontein, Free State, we’re creating a safe, inclusive environmentwhere young learners can play, grow, and dream bigger.
“Sport teaches discipline, teamwork and resilience. These are skills that stay withyoung people for life. By investing in school-based sporting facilities, we are helpingto create environments where learners can discover their potential and developboth on and off the field,” Chairman of CANAL+ Africa Calvo Mawela said.
Our focus remains on communities where access to quality sporting infrastructure islimited, because talent exists everywhere, even where opportunities are hard tofind. This new sports complex will serve as a hub for physical development, teamwork, and community pride, ensuring that no child’s sporting potential goesunseen or unsupported.

This past weekend marked a milestone in our journey to change lives through sport. At Hoërskool Schweizer-Reneke in the North West, we proudly handed over the largest facility yet through the SuperSport Let’s Play programme: a state-of-the-art hockey field that will serve generations to come in the tight-knit community of Schweizer-Reneke.
This is more than just a field. It’s a space where learners can dream bigger, grow stronger, and discover the power of teamwork. By investing in both education and sport, we’re helping young people unlock their full potential and building communities filled with hope and opportunity.
