Magic Beings Nursery School Our children, from birth to 5 years, enjoy excellent ECD and progression to Year 1 in Cooper College.

Magic Beings is a beautiful preschool with a fun, professional, progressive approach to childcare and child development. The school has been operating for 30 years, however, in order to keep current and meet the ever-changing needs of the children in our care, and our clients, we are continually improving our grounds, methods, and our service offering. We have an open-door policy, so please do come by and pay us a visit at your leisure. We are open Monday through Friday, between 06h30 and 18h00.

Our little ones from Baby Centre had so much fun exploring free painting! They enjoyed making their own marks, splashing colours, and discovering different textures with their little hands. 🖐️🎨

This activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, hand-eye coordination, and self-expression while allowing each baby to explore at their own pace. 💕✨
There were lots of smiles, colourful hands, and beautiful little masterpieces! 🌸🖼️

🍦👩‍🍳 Our Group 3s became little chefs during Holiday Care!👨‍🍳✨

What better way to learn than by getting hands-on and having lots of fun along the way? Our little chefs made their very own ice cream using fresh cream, condensed milk and vanilla essence.

They enjoyed being involved in the process from start to finish — mixing their ingredients, seeing how everything comes together, and then proudly dishing up their own ice cream to enjoy! 🍨

At our Cambridge-based school, we value learning through hands-on experiences and real-life exploration. Activities like these allow our children to understand how things are done, develop independence and confidence, and learn through doing — all while creating wonderful memories! 💛✨

Our Owlets enjoyed a fun sensory experience exploring the colours of the South African flag! ❤️💛💚💙

Using recycled paper, spoons and bowls, our little learners explored colours through hands-on play. They also used blocks to create patterns and little homes, developing their fine-motor skills, creativity, problem-solving and early mathematical thinking. 🥄🧱🏠

Early Years 2 learners had fun testing their memory with the Finding Thabo – Picture 3: The Shop Scene mat. They remembered objects they had seen in the Bedroom Scene🏠 and Taxi Scene 🚕 and searched carefully to find them again in the Shop, including the banana peel 🍌, soccer ball ⚽, teddy bear 🧸, kite 🪁 and cat 🐱.

Through this fun activity, they practiced memory, observation, concentration and recall while learning through play! 🌟🧠✨

Our Early Years 2 learners enjoyed exploring our sensory area through mud kitchen play, water play and musical exploration. They scooped, poured and created in the mud kitchen, experimented with water, and discovered different sounds by beating drums, ringing bells and exploring our sound wall and talking tubes. 🔔🥁🗣️

🧶✨ POMPOM DAY in Group 1 Woodlands! ✨🧶

Two pompom games, double the fun and plenty of learning! 💛

Our little ones practised pulling and sticking colourful pompoms onto a sticky wall, building shoulder strength, hand-eye coordination and learning about “stuck” and “unstuck”!

Next came the Whisk Rescue, where they rescued pompoms from a whisk while developing their pincer grip, concentration and problem-solving skills. 🥰

Fine motor skills, sensory play, learning, sharing and lots of big smiles all in one fun-filled morning! 🌈
