Playing games with letters is a favourite activity. The kids use letter magnets that they must match on a magnetic board or cookie sheet. The children sort the letters, find favourites, and count the letters.

We engage in activities to develop the kid’s numeric skills – while they think they are playing, they are actually learning!

In the baby room we at Koningskinders pay loving care and attention to the babies. We strive to keep them as peaceful as can be, so when you come to pick him/her up, you will have a happy baby for the rest of the day!

Activities kids can participate in to develop their motoric skills:
Make a small balance beam – let them balance on it
Sit and spin. This takes a lot of upper body strength.
Find some baby buggies, shopping carts, and strollers to push around the class.

What the teachers do to interact with the kids: Sitting with children playing play dough. Talking about how the dough feels - tell them that you are making pizza dough and ask them if they like pizza… She doesn’t need to tell the child what to do just model all different ways to use the material and offer opportunities to connect by learning more about each other.
