Happy World Teachers’ Day to our wonderful TWC teachers! 💙💛🤍
“The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.” — Mark Van Doren
Every day, you do so much more than teach a subject. You encourage questions, build confidence, challenge our girls to think differently and support them through the tough moments.
Thank you for the knowledge you share, the time you give and the difference you make in the lives of our girls, both inside and outside the classroom.
Today, we celebrate you and the important role you play in helping our girls grow into capable, confident young women.

Our Poppets stepped into the ‘working world’ for Career Day, bringing their bright imaginations and big dreams along with them!

From tiny stethoscopes and shiny firefighter hats to tool belts, drills and chef aprons, Poppets Patch was transformed into a mini working world filled with curious minds and busy little professionals. 👩‍⚕️👩‍🚒👩‍🍳🔧

It was a fun day of exploring different careers, trying new things and imagining all the possibilities for the future! 💙💛🤍

💙💛🤍 Happy Heritage Day from TWC!

The Wykeham Collegiate has been celebrating Heritage Day in many special ways over the past two weeks.

Last week, our High School celebrated during Club Time, with girls dressed in traditional attire and sharing their cultures through song, dance and our colourful Parade of Nations.

Our staff also joined in the celebrations on Tuesday, dressing in traditional attire and enjoying a bring-and-share lunch featuring delicious dishes from their various cultures, along with some special treats from Capitol Caterers.

Our Junior School celebrated on Break-Up Day, with the girls proudly wearing traditional attire and enjoying the opportunity to celebrate the beauty and diversity of our different cultures.

Heritage Day is a wonderful reminder of the rich heritage, diverse cultures and shared identity that make South Africa so special.

Wishing our TWC family a joyful Heritage Day! 🇿🇦

💙💛🤍 Maths Collab!

Our Grade 11 Maths Literacy girls teamed up with our Poppets this term for some interactive learning around data handling and counting!

The Grade 11s created a questionnaire for the Poppets, collected their answers and then used the data to create pie charts and bar graphs. Maths brought to life through a little cross-age collaboration!

Of course, the lesson didn’t end there… The big girls joined the Poppets in their playground and were soon challenged to run, play and keep up with their younger sisters!

We’re not quite sure who enjoyed the afternoon more, our Grade 11s or our Poppets! 💙💛🤍
