Enviro Club Attends Happy Earth Festival
On the 20 August, 33 learners from the Enviro club participated in the Happy Earth Festival at Botanical Gardens in Pmb.
Learners interacted with various environmental groups including UKZN environmental dept, the KZN museum, DUCT, KPCA and SANBI.
Thank you to all stakeholders for affording our learners this invaluable lesson out of the classroom!

Carterians Shine at Eskom Expo Regional Science Fair
On the 12 August, 13 learners (9 entries) participated in the Eskom Expo Regional Science Fair held at the UKZN Edgewood college in Durban.
These learners were selected from the District Expo that took place on 15 May at Carter High school.
Our learners did extremely well, scooping 3 Gold awards by Amukelwa Bhengu, Andiswa Mlilo and S'noqbile Zimu and Kohen Baijnath and Xander Diedricks; 2 Silver awards by Zibusiso Khumalo and Ryall Gounden a Bronze by Mia Hastie.
In addition, Mia Hastie received a special award from UKZN.
Learners competed in different aspects of Science such as Engineering, Biomedical science, Computer and Software science, Plant sciences and Environmental science.
The top learners from the RSF will be selected to participate in the International Science Fair in Johannesburg where various learners from different countries come together to showcase their scientific achievements!
