Sweet Hearts has been opened purposely and exclusively as a private crèche dedicated to meeting this gap in the market in Pietermaritzburg. Having found there are many parents seeking a home environment for their little babies yet finding it very difficult to be satisfied with what is on offer, we aim to ease the stress and heartache by offering a warm, passionate, and loving day care with a difference. Our offer includes:

•Firstly, for working parents' peace of mind, Sweet Hearts crèche is open all year around, including School Holidays for our little members (we do however close on Public Holidays and a few weeks in December).

•We have a strict policy with regards the maximum number of children that will attend the crèche at any given time: at present we have a maximum capacity of 52 children. We will never accept more than the maximum number of children at Sweet Hearts as we pride ourselves on individual care for each child, and we assure our focus is maintained on child care alone, and not business.

•Parent interaction and suggestions for continuous improvement of our crèche : we encourage parents to propose new ideas, or personal requests, as to how we can add to the daily activities of the children. We acknowledge that different minds have different ideas, and we thrive on, not only improving the quality of the children’s' daily experience, but also on having very happy parents.

•We have dedicated carers for each age group: the staff are not moved around to assist in different groups, but are dedicated the entire year to the same age group. This allows the child to build strong relationships with their carer, ensuring a less stressful drop-off at crèche, and a comforting daily routine for the child.

•Each day we send photos of your child, via a dedicated Whatsapp group per child, to the parent to let you know how the child's day is progressing. We interact with parents on a personal level instead of posting photos on a general platform. Each child will receive weekly feedback to parents about their child's activities, progress, and personal development via the communication on the Whatsapp Groups.

•Our staff have been carefully selected in line with our culture of nurturing with love and passion. Each member has an extraordinary love for children, an insight into children's emotions and behaviour, and a strong desire to be part of the development and well-being of children. They are also experienced child-carers, qualified in First Aid and CPR. Sweet Hearts staff love their work and will always greet parents and children with a smile.
