What a joy to celebrate our confirmation service on the last night of term, as four of our girls were baptised and 22 confirmed their faith.

May each of you be characterised by love; may God’s love flow in you and through you. Called to be the light of the world, may you shine God’s love into all the dark places that so desperately need Him.

This year, our high school inter-house cross country carried a deeper significance. Dressed in purple and black, our girls ran in remembrance of the nine women killed in Ekurhuleni, as well as the many nameless victims of femicide whose stories never make the headlines.

This simple act of solidarity said: “we remember, we stand together, and we want better...we will not forget the names when the headlines are no longer current.”

Every one of our girls ran in honour of runner Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, who was unable to finish her race.

Happy Heritage Day, South Africa!

Epworth embraced the richness of our South African identity through vibrant assemblies and performances, showcasing the many cultures, traditions and talents that make our community so special.

Today, we celebrate what makes us unique while recognising all that connects us. May we continue to find unity in our differences and work together to make our beautiful country truly great.

Introducing our 2027 Pupil Leadership Team!

We are delighted to announce our 2027 pupil leaders. We salute all our Grade 11s who will take on the privilege and responsibility of leading our school community, guided by our “Top Three”: Happiness Tshiamala (Deputy Head), Mizpah-Dharling Kelly (Deputy Head) and Misha Tsayang (Head).

We trust that they will lead with faith, compassion and courage, embracing the true spirit of servant leadership and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them.

Inside Out and Mismatched Shoe Day

Today was a day of frivolity and fun in our pre-preparatory school as our Epworth Eppies came dressed higgledy-piggledy: clothes inside out and socks and shoes all mixed up – what a wonderful wacky sight!

It might have been pouring with rain, but it certainly didn’t dampen the entrepreneurial spirit of our Grade 8s!
From creative stalls and carefully crafted products to enthusiastic shoppers and proud young entrepreneurs, Market Day was filled with creativity, teamwork, initiative and plenty of fun.
It was wonderful to see our pupils putting their ideas into action — planning, selling, supporting one another and gaining valuable real-world experience along the way.
