MTCs 9th Art & Music Festival 2026 🎶
A medley of performers!🎶⚡️
One of the sets to look forward to is:
Ilan Lax & Jes Bedingfield

For this set Ilan Lax is joined by the talented and vivacious Jes Bedingfield. They will present a short sample of songs drawn from Ilan’s broad collection of original material.

Jes Bedingfield (bass and harmonies) will complement Ilan’s (vocals, guitar and flute) offerings.

Ilan and Jes bring together a veteran and rising star of the Pietermaritzburg and KZN Midland’s live music scene.

The songs performed for this set are drawn from and inspired by Ilan’s lived experience as a husband, father, active citizen and human, in the world. They offer some insight into Ilan’s many interests and reflect Ilan’s eclectic and varied musical influences from trad folk through blues, jazz, rock, reggae, classical and world music.

You are invited to share in this short selection of soulful, poetic, evocative, warm and significant snippets from Ilan’s life’s journey, so tastefully supported by skilled and talented musicianship of Jes.
