The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to carry out basic assessments of communities, households groups and individuals.
1. THE COURSE CONTAINS THREE STREAMS:
• A ward based PHC outreach team for each electoral ward.
• Strengthening school health services.
• District based clinical specialist teams with an initial focus on improving maternal and child health.
2. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Learners who want to register for this qualification must have;
• Ancillary Health Care NQF Level 1
• ABET Level 4 or Grade 10 to 12.
• Grade 12 if you have a 33.3% pass in Maths and English in Grade 12 you are exempted from doing Foundational Learning Competence (FLC) however if you have ABET Level 4, grade 10, and 11 you must have FLC.
3. AREAS YOU CAN WORK IN
Clinics, schools, old age homes, Rehab centres, health care centres, mines etc.
4. INTAKE: September 2021
5.FEES PAYABLE
Tuition: R 18, 100.
Registration fee of R 6,700.00 and 10 monthly payments of R 1140.00 per month
Uniform: R1200.00
Application fee: R150.00
