The Maritzburg College Old Boys’ Association joins the College community in mourning the passing of Ron Jury, College’s 14th Headmaster.

His 34 years of service touched the lives of generations of Old Collegians, many of whom remember his guidance and example with deep respect and gratitude. A man of integrity, he upheld the traditions and values, leaving a lasting mark on the school and the boys.

Our heartfelt condolences go to his family, friends, former colleagues and all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Ron.

OLD COLLEGIAN MAKES SA ODI HISTORY 🔴⚫⚪ Congratulations to David Miller (OC 2007) on another milestone in his illustrious international career.

Miller has now registered his 31st ODI score of 50 or more from No. 5 or lower, surpassing the legendary Jonty Rhodes’ 30 to become the most prolific South African in this category.

A great reminder to our current Maritzburg College boys and Old Collegians that your rugby journey doesn’t have to follow a straight path.

Congratulations to Prince Ndlovu (OC 2019), Anele Nzimande (OC 2019) and Malwande Dlangalala (OC 2019), on their selection for the Sharks Presidential XV.

Their journey is a reminder that opportunities can come in many different forms. Keep working hard, keep enjoying your rugby, play wherever you can and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.

The Wall of Remembrance at Maritzburg College is a sacred place where we honour and remember those who have been part of the Maritzburg College family, including Old Collegians, staff members, parents and friends of College.

The Wall was launched in 2013 during the School’s 150th Reunion Day and continues to provide a special place for families and the College community to remember those who have passed away.

The next plaques will be unveiled on Remembrance Day.

If you would like to honour a loved one by adding a plaque to the Wall of Remembrance, please ensure your order is placed by 02 October 2026.
