ALL JOY IN A RAINBOW

Get ready for a colorful adventure filled with friendship, kindness, laughter, and the joy of being yourself!

Our wonderful Grade 1–3 learners are so excited to take to the stage on 21 & 22 October and share this very special production with you!

We are thrilled to welcome our families, friends, and school community to come and cheer on our young stars as they bring All Joy in a Rainbow to life!

What an incredible weekend for our Riverwood College Soccer Players at the 40th Annual Randburg Soccer Tournament, hosted at Panorama Football Club!

The KZN Inland U19s were crowned tournament champions after competing against some of Gauteng's top soccer clubs! A special mention goes to our very own Vice-Captain, Yolo Marwexu, who played a significant role in the team's success.

Our Riverwood College Coach, Given Tshabalala, was also entrusted with coaching the KZN Inland U15 Girls, where three of our talented learners proudly represented Riverwood:
Nonzuzo Dlamini – received the call-up to travel with the squad and made a valuable contribution throughout the tournament.
Ngiphile Mdletshe – our catalyst, who brought energy and determination to the team and made a strong impact on the field.
Michelle Maringa – another talented young player who represented herself and Riverwood College with pride and commitment.
The KZN Inland U15 Girls finished 3rd overall, an outstanding achievement in a highly competitive tournament!

We would also like to congratulate our other Riverwood representatives:
Aviwe Kobese – U14 and Oluhle Maphanga – U16

These opportunities provide our learners with invaluable experience, allowing them to compete at a high level, challenge themselves and grow both on and off the field.

To all our players, coaches and families, thank you for representing Riverwood College with such pride, passion and commitment. Your hard work continues to make our school community proud. 💙

Little learners, big adventures!

Our Grade 2s had the sweetest Term 3 adventure at Save Hyper! From discovering how naan bread is made to learning about biltong and exploring fresh produce, there was so much to see, learn and enjoy!

And the best surprise? A delicious meal from the wonderful Save Hyper team!

So many new discoveries, happy memories and stories to share!

NUUS UIT BLOEMFONTEIN! 🇿🇦

Deoné Lemmer, Zelda Grové, Andrew Jordaan en Ayden Pillay is tans in Bloemfontein vir die SANSSU SA Kampioenskappe 2026, wat van 26 September tot 1 Oktober plaasvind.

Ons wens ons skuts alles van die beste toe vir die kampioenskappe! Mag julle fokus, harde werk en toewyding vrugte afwerp. Ons is ongelooflik trots op elkeen van julle! Spesiale gelukwensing aan Ayden Pillay, wat aangewys is as Vise-Kaptein van die KZN-span!

We are so proud of you, Ayden! Wishing the entire KZN Team the very best - wishing you focus, confidence, and success throughout the championships!

Our Grade 11 learners had an incredible day of learning, exploration and adventure at the Cumberland Nature Reserve! They experienced Geography beyond the classroom, exploring river systems, river processes and erosion first-hand while putting their mapwork skills into practice. From the waterfalls to the hike through the gorge, it was a memorable experience that brought theory to life.

Wat ’n ongelooflike dag in die natuur! Ons Graad 11-leerders het die geleentheid gehad om Geografie eerstehands te ervaar, van die pragtige hoefystermeer en watervalle tot die stap deur die kloof. ’n Dag vol ontdekking, avontuur en lekker saamkuier, waar ons weer besef het dat 'n dag in die natuur soms die beste medisyne is na 'n lang kwartaal.

Vandag vier Suid-Afrika Erfenisdag! Today we celebrate what makes South Africa so wonderfully 'lekker', our people, our cultures, our stories, our traditions and all the things that bring us together.

We are a lekker nation with so many lekker people. Ons ken ’n lekker stukkie biltong en ’n vars, soet koeksister wanneer ons dit proe. Ons kan lekker lag, ons weet van 60/60, Siya en slaptjips, en natuurlik kan ons ’n lekker braai geniet.

We are passionate about our sport, our teams and our vuvuzelas - because when South Africa gets behind something, you can hear it from miles away!

Our heritage is found in our languages, our music, our food, our dance, our humour and in the many different cultures and communities that make up this beautiful country. Diverse in who we are, united in the spirit of Ubuntu.

What a term it's been!

We wish all our staff, learners, and the entire Riverwood College community a wonderful and restful holiday.

As we head into the break, we also have some exciting news to share: from Term 4, our Primary and High School boys may wear the RC Cap! 🧢

Please note: the cap may be worn outdoors only. Once entering any school building or classroom, caps must be neatly put away.

Dit het katte en honde gereën, ons het 'n kat of twee in 'n sak gekoop, baie hande het die werk (gelukkig) minder gemaak, en die appel? Wel die appel val nie ver van die boom nie, veral as dit 'n Riverwood-appel is! 🍎

What a day! The Primary School celebrated Idiom Day and things got wonderfully weird!
We spotted a smart cookie nibbling on a cookie, a social butterfly working the room like a pro, and the vibe? The vibe was vibing.
