This has been the dream of the BMC & SMMS for many years. Now, through God's grace and provision, the Centre is becoming a reality. Join us for the inaugural lecture whose details appear on the poster.

WE ARE FAMILY

We have family - the people with whom we share biological ties, the people that belong with us, nurture us, grow us, love us unconditionally and we share the same last names or clan names with;

We have family - the people with whom we grow in the same neighborhood or village or township, or farm dwelling;

We have family - the people with whom we develop meaningful relationships with, whether from school, workplace or random spots of encounters;

We have family - the people with whom we share same faith convictions and eventually become close to us, sometimes even more than our biological family members;

We have family - the people whom we do not see for a very long time but know that we are in their hearts and they are in ours, such that when we connect with them again it feels as if we never became apart;

We have family - the people to whom we turn for advice or support or assistance when things don't go so well;

We have family - the people who will call us out when we fall out of step and stumble and after calling us out, stretch their hand to pick us up;

We have family - the people who mentor, guide and orientate us about life, whether in society or at school or at work or in the faith;

We have family - the people who admire us silently without a word or the people who we admire silently and have not found the guts to tell them;

We have family - the people with whom we share the deepest thoughts and concerns we have. They occupy various "rooms" in our hearts and minds and when a particular need arises we know who to go to;

This time calls us to appreciate the family we have in all its vast and diverse manifestations.
Let us be thankful for the family we have and let us take a few moments to call and check up on each other, to remind ourselves that we love and care for each other, because we are family.
