Wayside Children's Outreach Today 🙏🏽

We had the joy of hosting 276 children at Wayside Sunday School today!

We thank God for:
*1. The team* who ministered to the children in so many ways — teaching, praying, playing, and loving them.
*2. Our donors* who make it possible for every child to receive sandwiches, juice and fruit.

Because of your generosity, these kids didn’t just get fed. They are seen, loved, and reminded that God sees them too.

To God be the glory!

Our Gogos deserve the best 💛
Many of the children in our programmes are cared for by elderly grandmothers. This Women’s Month we’re making sure they are cared for too.

Thanks to Mrs Buthelezi’s generous vegetable donation, our Gogos will have these fresh produce to cook a healthy meal with phutu or rice.

Your support helps us honor the women holding our community together.
From all of us at Mama Ntombi’s Community Projects in Pietermaritzburg - Enkosi kakhulu! 🙏🏽

251 Children. Fed, Loved, and Reached with the Gospel.

Today at our Wayside Children's Outreach, 251 children gathered with us on the vacant property in the community that we have been allowed to use.

For many, this is more than just a meal. You can see the effects of extreme poverty on their little bodies and faces. But today they left with fruit, a packet of chips, a sandwich... and with the Word of God spoken over them.

This is ministry _in Word and in Deed_.
Feeding hungry bodies.
Speaking hope to weary hearts.
Pointing them to Jesus who _“raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap”_ — 1 Samuel 2:8

*To our Donors:*
Thank you! Because of your generosity, we get to meet these children right where they are.
Because of you, 251 children heard they are loved, they were fed, and they were prayed for.
And to our Team who serve with love and compassion — thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus.

We are so grateful for you.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.🙏🏽

*Senior Boys Homework Club* 📚

Today Sfiso spent time with the boys after school.
Sfundo got help with his Economics assignment — naming all the functions of a business: manufacturing, supplying, marketing, and more.
Owen and Junior asked for a revision of the Maths we did on Tuesday.

I’m so proud of these young men for taking ownership of their learning and asking for help when they need it. Every step forward counts ❤️

This Winter: Walk With Dignity

This winter we’ve been thinking about the children whose school shoes are worn out and beyond repair.
So we’re making sure they also get 2 pairs of warm socks — like this young boy.

Because going to school should feel warm, dry, and dignified.
Every step matters ❤️

250 children joyfully joined us at Wayside Outreach today! 🙌🏽

It was beautiful to see them worship, laugh, learn, and be loved.
_“Let the little children come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of God.”_ Luke 18:16 NKJV

A huge thank you to our incredible Team who served with such love and dedication today. You are a blessing to this generation 💛

Snow on the Drakensberg ❄️
We’re feeling the winter chills here in the Midlands too, even though we’re an hour’s drive away.

I’m so thankful I can stay warm with layers and hot drinks.
But my heart breaks for the poorest children we serve.
They walk to school without jerseys, and some are wearing Crocs that do nothing to keep out the cold.
At home it’s even harder — wattle and mud houses with iron roofs, crumbling walls that let the icy wind in.
Yet by God’s grace, they persevere without complaining.

It’s my heart’s desire this winter to provide jerseys and proper school shoes for the children struggling the most 🙏🏽

Celebrating Progress! 📚

We are so proud to share Bayanda Mthembu’s Term 2 Grade 6 results.
He scored above the class average in all 6 subjects this term 👏

Bayanda used to struggle with and even failed Maths. Today, with consistent mentorship and tutoring, he’s growing in both confidence and results.

A heartfelt thank you to the MNCP Team- Sfiso and Luyanda for the Mentorship and Maths & English Tutoring Programmes, and to all our donors and supporters. You are making a real difference in these children’s lives.

Well done Bayanda! We’re cheering you on for Term 3. 🌱

From Crocs to School Shoes 👟

Whenever we see a child in need, we reach out to help however we can.

This little boy has been coming to our Breakfast Club every morning wearing Crocs to school. Today, he walked out proudly in his brand new pair of school shoes.

We also noticed he didn’t have socks, so he’ll be receiving 2 pairs very soon.

These may seem like small things, but for a child, having the right shoes to go to school in brings dignity, confidence, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who supports our Breakfast Club and outreach work. Because of you, we are able to uplift the lives of the most vulnerable children in our community — one child, one meal, one pair of shoes at a time.

God bless you 🙏🏽

A warm meal to start the day ☀️

Through our Breakfast Club feeding programme, hundreds of children arrive at school with full tummies and ready minds.

None of this would be possible without YOU — our incredible donors.
Your generosity puts food on the table and hope in their hearts.

Thank you for investing in our children’s health, education, and future.
Together, we are feeding bodies and feeding hope 🙌🏽
