Occupational Certificate: Plumber

A key milestone in strengthening the TVET sector has been the introduction of Occupational Qualifications, which are designed to equip students with industry relevant skills, practical workplace experience, and competencies that respond directly to the needs of employers and the economy.

Occupational certificates at South African TVET Colleges are QCTO accredited qualifications designed to meet direct industry needs. They replace legacy NATED/Report 191 courses. These programs blend Knowledge Modules, Practical Skills Modules, and Workplace Experience, requiring students to pass an External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) to graduate.
