Echoes of Exodus reminded us that the journey from bo***ge to freedom requires courage, faith, obedience and the willingness to keep moving forward. Fittingly, this powerful story could only be brought to life through teamwork. Our learners gave up their breaks, Thursday and Tuesday mornings and Art lessons for rehearsals and preparation, while our Intermediate Phase teachers showed incredible patience and support.

Our Management Team championed the vision; Mrs Hyland and Mrs Thomson played an integral role in the sourcing of material and prepare costumes offering support from start to end; Mr Jumah and Mr Dlamini transformed the vision into a musical experience through the choir, music and powerful sound effects; and our Headmaster, Mr Rugbar supported us wholeheartedly while also giving a memorable performance as the Egyptian Commander.

To our parents, thank you for showing up to watch your children shine. To every learner, teacher and helping hand this Production was proof that when many people bring their gifts together, one vision can become something extraordinary.

The curtain has closed, but the message remains: have the courage to step forward, trust the journey, and remember that great things are rarely accomplished alone. ❤️🎭✨

"What a journey it has been. From the long rehearsal hours to the final performance, it all comes down to teamwork, commitment and dedication. The Production Team had an opportunity to showcase a very modern version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream and they outdid themselves. It was not an easy process but in the end, the sacrifices were well worth it.

From hereafter, I hope they take with them the spirit of family, creativity and support as that was a valuable benefit of being in a team such as this one."

"Sunday, 30 August 2026 was a monumental occasion for St Nicholas, as our First Team soccer boys secured the Jody Momple FA Cup Bowl trophy!

The tournament did not start out great, as on Saturday we suffered heavy defeats against Umvuzo and Michaelhouse, placing us in the bowl section for Saturday's proceedings. But as has been the theme this season, we didn't let our heads drop, we dusted ourselves off and got ready to try again on Sunday.

Sunday started off with a difficult fixture against Linpark, where St Nicholas managed to secure a hard fought 1-0 victory, thanks to a penalty scored by Thanduxolo JR Muthwa. Next up was a semi-final against Greytown High, where our boys played with a renewed hunger, knowing a place in the final was at stake. Here we managed to secure a 2-1 Win thanks to a goal from Ethan Khavukathema in each half.

In the Final, we matched up against Kokstad, going down 1-0 before a goal by Thanduxolo Muthwa pulled us level. Some great interplay by Ozi Mathe and Mahubo Zuma, allowed Owethu Khanyile to grab the winning goal. The final ended on 2-1, with St Nicholas as the 2026 FA CUP BOWL CHAMPIONS.

What a proud moment for all those involved, I've watched the boys grow in discipline, character and teamwork as the season has progressed. So for all our efforts to culminate with a trophy was an amazing feeling, one we won't forget in a hurry."
