Greytown Primary Chess Team Advances to District Level!

We are immensely proud to share the outstanding achievements of our Greytown Primary School chess team at the recent uMvoti School’s Tournament, hosted at Tholinhlanhla Primary School.

Demonstrating exceptional strategy, focus, and sportsmanship, our learners competed brilliantly on the board and earned top honors.
Thanks to their remarkable performances, they have officially qualified to represent Greytown Primary School at the Dundee District Level Tournament!

CELEBRATING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE: TERM 2 MERIT AWARDS

Greytown Primary School is immensely proud to announce and celebrate our outstanding achievers for Term 2!

From our youngest learners embarking on their educational journey to our senior leaders preparing for high school, these dedicated individuals have demonstrated diligence, perseverance and a commitment to excellence across all learning areas.

Greytown Primary School proudly hosted its Annual Inter-House Athletics on Friday, 31 July 2026. It was a day filled with excitement, determination, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship as our learners gave their very best in every event.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers and staff for their hard work in organising a successful event, to our parents and supporters for cheering on our learners, and to every participant for making the day memorable.

Congratulations to all our athletes for their enthusiasm and commitment. We are proud of each one of you and look forward to another successful athletics season!

Today, Greytown Primary School proudly hosted our Foundation Phase Inter-House Athletics. Our young learners participated with enthusiasm, determination and excellent sportsmanship, making the day a great success.

As GPS we are proud to announce that our learners competed in the Umzinyathi Cross Country District Championships at Pomeroy Sports Complex on the 25th of July.

5 learners represented our school. They tried their very best.

Langa Luthando has qualified to represent us at the District Level Championships. The competition will be held in Richard’s Bay on Saturday, 1st of August 2026.

Greytown Primary Shines at Cross Country Championships.

On 20 June 2026, Greytown Primary School proudly participated in the Cross Country Championships held at King Edward's Park.

A total of 35 learners competed in the event, with our school being represented by seven talented athletes. Our learners displayed outstanding determination, sportsmanship, and endurance throughout the competition, achieving excellent results against strong opposition.
