Celebrating Creativity and Vision at Alexandra High School
Last Thursday evening, our school community gathered for the 2026 Matric Art Exhibition, "The Weight of the Room."
It was an unforgettable celebration of our learners' dedication, vision, and artistic growth.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our special guest speaker, Nzama, for inspiring our learners and sharing such profound insights with our community.
A special thank you to our wonderful parents for coming out in your numbers to support our talented young artists. We also want to express our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated staff for your hard work and involvement in making the exhibition such a resounding success.

GOLD MEDALISTS 🏅✨
Last Friday our choir took part in the Eisteddfod and we came home with GOLD - 94%
All those rehearsals, late afternoons and teamwork paid off. We are SO proud of every single voice

Debating Wrap-Up: A Season to Remember! 🏆
The 2026 debating season has been nothing short of extraordinary. Alexandra High School debaters have shown incredible resilience, courage, and unwavering commitment throughout every round in the Pietermaritzburg debating league.
This past Thursday was a moment our entire school community had been waiting for. THE FINALS!.
Alex faced St. Nicholas in a thrilling final and brought the cup back home!
After being away since 2015, the trophy has finally returned to where it belongs. This historic moment was made possible through years of perseverance, hard work, and belief.
A heartfelt thank you to our brilliant debaters, coaches, parents, and supporters.

Alexandra High School at the SAICE Bridge Building Competition.
Our Physics and Engineering graphics and design learners proudly represented Alexandra High School at UKZN for the SAICE Bridge Building Competition.
It was inspiring to witness the incredible talent, creativity, engineering skills, and teamwork displayed by learners from 11 participating schools, featuring a total of 30 bridges entered into the competition.
We are thrilled to announce that Alexandra High School won 1st Place for the Most Aesthetic Bridge!
We are immensely proud of our young engineers and designers for their hard work and stellar representation of Alex!

Our girls' soccer team tackled their first tournament of the year at the Riverwood aQuellé Soccer Tournament on 25 July 2026.
There's room to grow, but we know these champions are capable of amazing things.
Next stop: Port Shepstone Suid Natal this coming weekend for their next tournament! Show them some Alex love as they gear up stronger than ever.
