MAN-UP Heart Project:

The MAN-UP Heart Project, is a pilot initiative that seeks to extend the spirit of Ubuntu beyond the gates of Alexandra High School.

As part of this initiative, our MAN-UP boys together with the managers, Deputy Principal and Principal visited Sobantu Secondary School to deliver care boxes to the Grade 12 learners, as a gesture of encouragement and support as they prepare for their examinations.

The project was a bit more than simply giving a care box. It is about teaching our young men the values of compassion, empathy, generosity and service to others.

Through the MAN-UP Heart Project, we hope to nurture young men who understand and recognise the importance of kindness, dignity and supporting one another.

We wish the Grade 12 learners at Sobantu Secondary School strength, courage, focus and success in their upcoming NSC examinations.

A very exciting era begins as KZN Inland cricket partners with Alexandra High School.

On Friday the 18th of September, we signed a Memorandum of understanding in agreement with KZN Inland cricket as we join hands in a partnership that involves the renovation of cricket facilities, bringing the Tuskers to Alex and ultimately collectively growing cricket in our community.

A very big thank you to Jason Sathiaseelan (CEO) and Yogesh Jewaan (Clubs Co-ordinator) for their visit this morning in a groundbreaking new beginning.

KZN Inland Cricket Union and Alexandra High School Enter Partnership

Pietermaritzburg – 18 September 2026
KZN Inland Cricket Union and Alexandra High School have formally entered into a five-year partnership, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for cricket and sporting development at the school.

The partnership will see Alexandra High School make its sporting facilities available to KZN Inland Cricket Union for various cricket activities and programmes. In return, KZN Inland will provide support towards the upgrading and improvement of the school’s facilities, while also assisting with cricket coaching and the training and development of groundsmen.

The partnership forms part of KZN Inland Cricket Union’s ongoing commitment to developing cricket at all levels and creating stronger relationships with schools and sporting institutions within its region.

KZN Inland CEO, Jason Sathiaseelan, said the partnership presents an opportunity for both organisations to benefit from one another while creating a sustainable platform for cricket development.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Alexandra High School over the next five years. This is more than simply an agreement to use facilities. It is a partnership where both organisations can contribute towards the development of cricket, improve facilities and create greater opportunities for young players.”
Alexandra High School Principal, Mrs Anusha Pillay, welcomed the partnership and expressed her excitement at the opportunities it will bring to the school and its learners.

The signing ceremony was concluded with Mrs Pillay and Mr Sathiaseelan formally signing the MOU and shaking hands to mark the commencement of the five-year partnership.

The two organisations are confident that the partnership will provide a strong foundation for the development of cricket, improved sporting facilities and skills development, while strengthening the role of Alexandra High School as an important sporting institution within the KZN Inland cricket community.
