Hampton Intermediate is excited to welcome Emilee Nagel as our new Social Studies teacher!

Miss Nagel brings a fantastic hometown pride and a heart for student connection to our inaugural staff. A proud graduate of Wylie East High School (Class of 2019!), she went on to attend Texas Tech University, graduating with her degree in Elementary Education. She officially became an educator in 2025 and returned home to Wylie ISD to complete her first rewarding year of teaching at Akin Elementary.

Miss Nagel became an educator because she is deeply passionate about creating a positive, welcoming learning environment where every single student feels valued, supported, and loved each day. As we open our doors, she is most looking forward to building strong relationships with her new Raiders, growing alongside her colleagues, and designing engaging, memorable history lessons!

Outside of the classroom, Miss Nagel loves staying active and can often be found running or exercising. She also enjoys being involved in her church, catching a good movie, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Please join us in giving Miss Nagel a warm, "welcome home" Raider welcome. We are so glad to have her on our team!

Hampton Intermediate is excited to welcome Samantha Seals as our new 5th Grade Social Studies teacher!

Mrs. Seals brings a deep passion for history and an incredible dedication to the Wylie ISD community to our inaugural staff. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in history, she began her educational journey right here in the district as a substitute teacher in 2010. After excelling in long-term substitute positions, she was hired full-time in 2012 at Harrison Intermediate. She spent her rewarding career at Harrison, teaching 6th-grade science a year before finding her true home in 5th-grade social studies.

For as long as she can remember, Mrs. Seals dreamed of having a classroom of her own. Teaching allows her to combine her deep passion for learning with her heart for helping others every single day. She loves bringing the past to life through storytelling, making history meaningful and fun for her students. As we open our doors, she looks forward to building something amazing at Hampton, creating new traditions, and shaping a campus where everyone feels welcome, valued, and at home.

Outside of the classroom, you can usually find Mrs. Seals cheering at her kids' soccer practices and games or getting lost in a good book. When her family has free time, they love being outdoors together, whether they are relaxing in the driveway while the kids ride bikes or park hopping with their favorite people!

Please join us in giving Mrs. Seals a warm Raider welcome. We are so glad to have her heart and experience on our team!

Hampton Intermediate is excited to welcome Megan McCants as our new ELL teacher!

Mrs. McCants brings a wealth of knowledge, two decades of educational experience, and a lifelong passion for teaching our inaugural staff. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, she officially began her journey as an educator in 2004. Before joining the Wylie ISD family, she dedicated nineteen years to Richardson ISD as an instructional coach, interventionist, and classroom teacher. She joined Wylie ISD in 2023, serving our community at Birmingham Elementary as a math interventionist and gifted and talented teacher.

Ever since she was a child, Mrs. McCants dreamed of having her own classroom. She was deeply inspired by her amazing first-grade teacher, Mrs. Hart, who made learning magical through classroom transformations, hands-on activities, and constant encouragement. Mrs. McCants would even practice her future career as a kid, playing 'school' on a large chalkboard in her family's garage! Now, she brings that same dedication to Hampton, where she is incredibly excited to help open our brand-new school and support our students.

Outside of work, Mrs. McCants loves relaxing and spending quality time with her husband, Matt, and their two daughters, Ella and Georgia.

Please join us in giving Mrs. McCants a warm Raider welcome. We are so thrilled to have her incredible heart and expertise on our team!

She is a graduate of Texas A&M, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, followed by a Master of Education in Learning Therapy from SMU. Her journey in education began in 2005, inspired by her high school days in Partners PE helping students train for the Special Olympics.

Since joining Wylie ISD in 2010, Mrs. Badgett has served students across the district, including time at both high schools, Cooper Junior High, Dodd Elementary, and most recently, Davis Intermediate. She is looking forward to joining some of her current students at Hampton while welcoming many new faces to her classroom! She is eager to help cultivate a supportive and successful environment for our inaugural year.

Hampton Intermediate is excited to welcome Chad Green as our new Physical Education teacher!

With over two decades of experience and a passion for building positive campus communities, Coach Green brings an incredible energy to our gym. He earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas and a graduate degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He began his journey as an educator in 2002 and joined Wylie ISD in 2024, serving our students and families at Burnett Junior High.

As an energetic youth, Coach Green always felt PE was the greatest class ever invented, and his fondest memories were of his coaches, who served as the positive role models he needed. His time working for a YMCA afterschool program solidified his desire to be that same positive force for kids. He is thrilled for the unique opportunity to build a brand-new campus culture from the ground up and create a program the entire community can be proud of!

Outside of the gym, Coach Green loves watching his kids play sports and traveling with his wife to enjoy live music.

Please join us in giving Coach Green a warm Raider welcome. We are so excited to have his leadership and enthusiasm on our inaugural team!

Hampton Intermediate is thrilled to welcome Julianna Ake as our new Choir Director!

Mrs. Ake brings a vibrant musical passion and an exciting vision to our inaugural fine arts team. A proud graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, she began her teaching journey in January of 2025. She comes to us from Dallas ISD, where she served students at Pre-K Partnerships and Lakewood Elementary School. We are so excited to welcome her to the family for her very first year in Wylie ISD!

Mrs. Ake became an educator to inspire students to be the best versions of themselves through the power of music. Deeply impacted by the dedication of her own past teachers, she is committed to making that same lifelong impression on every student who walks through her doors. She is most looking forward to starting brand new traditions at Hampton and creating a positive, welcoming choir community where students can discover their unique voices and experience the joy of making music together.

When she is not directing music on campus, Mrs. Ake loves diving into a good book, playing video games, or building creative new LEGO sets!

Please join us in giving Mrs. Ake a warm Raider welcome. We can't wait to hear our choir room come alive under her leadership!
