Great news—Community Park Splash Pad is now open for summer fun!

☀️🎉Week 1 of Summer Camps is in the books, and what an incredible start to the season! ☀️🎉

Our campers hit the sports courts, pitched their entrepreneurial ideas to the sharks, explored exciting STEM LEGO adventures, and stepped into the world of famous art heists. From active play and creative thinking to hands-on learning and problem-solving, it has been a week full of fun, discovery, and new friendships.

The summer fun is just getting started! Wylie Recreation offers a wide variety of camps designed to keep kids active, engaged, learning, and making memories all summer long.

At this time, the Community Park Splash Pad remains closed due to a malfunctioning safety component.

To ensure the safest and cleanest water possible for families, Wylie's splash pads utilize two layers of water treatment: traditional chemical treatment and an advanced UV treatment system. The UV component requires a specialized replacement part that must be custom-ordered.

The replacement part has been ordered, and staff are prepared to install it as soon as it arrives. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore operations safely. Please continue to follow our social media channels for the latest updates.

In the meantime, the East Meadow Splash Pad is open and ready for summer fun! You can find it at 1500 W. Brown Street.

🎻 Bluegrass on Ballard is happening this Saturday — and the Welcome Center at Brown House is joining the celebration! 🏡✨Stop by for a day of music, history, classic cars, and summertime fun.

📅 Open 11 AM – 6 PM

🖼️ Enjoy free tours of the Brown House, the interactive America 250 exhibit, and a unique gift shop.

🍧 FREE popsicles on the lawn from 2 PM – 6 PM (or until we run out) — come cool off, relax, and enjoy the festivities with us! 💙

🚧 Community Park Splash Pad Update 🚧

With school almost out and summer temperatures heating up, we know many families are looking forward to visiting the Community Park Splash Pad. At this time, the splash pad remains temporarily closed as necessary safety repairs continue.

Repairs are taking longer than anticipated, but staff are working hard to get the issue resolved and reopen the splash pad as soon as it is safe to do so. We’ll continue to provide updates along the way.

In the meantime, we invite you to cool off at our second splash pad location at East Meadow! 💦☀️

In observance of Memorial Day, Wylie Recreation Center, Community Park Center, and the Parks and Recreation Administration will be closed on Monday, May 25.
