Wylie East High School Student Council

Wylie East High School Student Council General Student Council meetings are held in room 154 on the second and fourth Wednesday afternoon of every month. In addition, its purpose shall be:
1.

The purpose of the organization is to be the centralized student government of the Wylie East High School which addresses concerns and forms activities for student involvement. It shall promote among students an understanding of school traditions and foster school spirit. To develop competent and considerate leadership at WEHS;
2. To bring about closer cooperation between the faculty and the stude

nt body as representatives of the student body;
3. To cooperate with the administration in all problems concerning the school and student body;
4. To promote in each individual of WEHS a desire for good citizenship;
5. To create and maintain school interest, school spirit and loyalty;
6. To provide a forum for student expression.

Unity Day 2015--W.E. showed a united front against bullying today at Wylie East High School! Students visited the compliment wall to spread kindness, wore orange clothing, chalked the sidewalks with anti-bullying slogans, pledged to stand up against bullying by inking their fingerprints on the "W.E. are all Beautifully Different" poster, and our teachers gave up their lunch period to sit with students in the cafeteria. It was a wonderful day!
