Three weeks down, and the hard work keeps rolling at Camp of Champs! 🏴‍☠️💪

Athletes continue to show up, put in the effort, and sharpen their skills each day. Summer may be flying by, but these Pirates are making every rep count as they prepare for the seasons ahead. ☀️

🤖🌍 Wylie ISD families can now enroll in AlphaBEST's before- and after-school programs for the 2026-27 school year. Students can enjoy engaging activities like coding and robotics, engineering, digital animation, world languages, arts, fitness, homework support, and more, all in a safe, convenient environment right on their campus.

Pre-K students (ages 4 and 5) can also join in the fun with age-appropriate enrichment activities, including augmented reality learning, early coding experiences, LEGO STEAM challenges, and hands-on exploration.

⚔💙 50 years of Buccaneer pride!

Last month, Burnett Junior High celebrated a special milestone — the 50th anniversary of its school building. Former staff members, principals, and students returned to campus to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate the generations of students and educators who have walked its halls.

Guests enjoyed a slideshow highlighting Burnett’s history, including former staff who once attended the school as students. School Board Trustee and former BJHS (Wylie Junior High) Principal, Mike Williams, spoke about his time as an administrator at the school. Vox, featuring former Burnett choir students, delivered a memorable performance.

👏 A special thank you to BJHS Counselor Heather Smyder for organizing this meaningful celebration and helping preserve the stories that make Burnett such an important part of Wylie ISD history.

Here's to 50 years of memories, and many more to come!
