Your college essay isn’t the place to prove you know the biggest words. Admissions officers want to get to know YOU.

Write clearly. Tell the story only you can tell. Use specific details, meaningful reflection, and words that actually sound like you.

That doesn’t mean your essay should sound like a text to your best friend. 😂 It should be polished, thoughtful, and grammatically strong while still sounding natural and authentic.

But here’s the important part: FREE TUITION does not always mean FREE COLLEGE.

Remember, tuition is only ONE part of college costs. Housing, meals, books, fees, transportation, and other expenses may not be covered.
