YOUR PIANO SCHOOL I offer classical piano lessons at my home studio located on Staten Island. Children 4 and older ar My name is Alla. I have been teaching piano for over 20 years.

Learning to play is not an easy, but very rewarding process. In addition to working on developing piano technique I work with my students on quality of sound, phrasing, ability to understand the music they are playing and deliver it, preserving their own personality. I encourage my students to learn more about the music they are playing, the composers, and music history. We have recitals for par

ents twice a year, which are always fun and include students' performances, small gifts from the teacher, and yummy refreshments. My students take NYSSMA tests and always earn perfect scores. It is great for every child to learn to play a musical instrument. I am excited to offer my knowledge and experience to everyone who wants to learn to play piano and to love and appreciate classical music. Stella performed a solo program at a nursing home today, and I couldn’t be more proud of her! ❤️
She revived two of her older pieces and prepared two of her most recent pieces—all on her own! We haven’t had a lesson in a month.

Despite having to perform on a very run-down piano—with a non-functioning pedal, being out of tune, and having several sticky keys—Stella handled it beautifully and confidently. Most importantly, she received such a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the residents. It was truly a special ❤️🎶

Only a handful of lessons in, Dua already knows 5 notes, knows how to count, and wants to do everything without any help. This is her first time playing this little tune. 👏👏🎹
