Last week the Mckee SkillsUSA chapter was celebrating Skills Week! To celebrate the Skills Week, the officers and members of Mckee wore red in honor of SkillsUSA, appreciated our advisor, Mrs. Piscopo, as well as all the past advisors our chapter has ever had and spread some MckeeSkills Swag! We also went to the Citywide Meeting at Thomas Edison High School learned about how to communicate someone by making one person describe the picture and the other person draws it. Thank you to the amazing city officers for all your hardwork. Now we are getting ready to compete for the cities!

A few weeks ago, the 2016-2017 SkillsUSA officers traveled up to Albany for The Fall Leadership Conference. The three-day long convention consisted of a workshops that taught the New York State officers to work together on difficult tasks; such as developing community service projects, creating fundraisers, and how to take a professional outlook on life. As well as funner tasks such as guiding a marble across a large room without dropping it, all using six small PVC pipes. Lastly, the officers also got to take a trip to the Capitol Building. We can definitely say it was a success trip for our officers!
