Welcome Sadé Dinkins to our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. A proud alumna of the Class of 2015, Sadé Dinkins is thrilled to return to Staten Island Academy as a a Middle School Science Teacher. A lifelong Staten Islander, Sadé’s career is defined by her deep-rooted passion for educational equity and community advocacy.
After earning her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts from Duke University, followed by a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Relay GSE, and through building a foundation in relationships-centric educational practices, Sadé has dedicated herself to empowering youth (and adults!) through student-centered learning and social-emotional growth. Beyond the classroom, Sadé is an active community organizer and scholar, with a focus on intersectionality, storytelling, and creating inclusive spaces where all people can thrive. Sadé believes curiosity is at the heart of authentic learning and believes science class is the perfect setting to bring one’s curiosities to life!
Some fun facts:
Sadé has 2 dogs that she loves very much, Murray and Hoji.
Sadé is a nerd! Especially when it comes to music, film, reading/writing, and Black history.
Sadé has 2 younger sisters who are twins. Sadé is 5 years older than them, but they always get mistaken for triplets.
