Staten Island Academy is an independent Pre-K3 through Grade 12 school with a 140-year strong reputation for nurturing young people of high character. Co-educational and non-religious, the Academy is governed by an independent board of trustees and has been the only independent school on Staten Island since 1884. We are supported by a close-knit, intentional community of more than 300 families, 75

educators and staff, and more than 3,000 alums nationwide. Our dedicated faculty instills our students with self-confidence that allows them to dare to dream. Through small classes, more than 100 course offerings, and a teaching dynamic that fosters curiosity and self-belief, we empower our students to arrive at unexpected answers, ask unfamiliar questions, and seek fresh ways of thinking. As a school community, we believe it is essential to remember and reflect on September 11, particularly given its profound impact on Staten Island. Through The Guys, we hope to honor those who were lost, recognize the bravery of first responders, and encourage meaningful reflection on service, compassion, resilience, and remembrance.

While Academy students and employees will attend the performance at no cost, we encourage community members to support this important event by purchasing tickets and attending one of the public performances.

We want to acknowledge that this performance is scheduled during the weekend of Rosh Hashanah. We understand that this overlap may present challenges for some families and community members who observe the holiday, and we sincerely apologize. Due to the timing of the anniversary we felt the dates were unavoidable, we deeply respect the significance of Rosh Hashanah and appreciate the understanding and grace of our community.

Thank you for helping us honor the memory and legacy of those affected by September 11.
