Repentance: Day 19
Micah 6:8
“Walk humbly with your God.”

Hebraic Root: צָנַע (Tsana’)
Meaning: To walk humbly, live modestly.

Repentance doesn’t end with forgiveness. Repentance produces humility.

Today we reflect on tsana’, learning that true greatness is found in walking low before the Lord. ❤️‍🔥🕊️📯

Repentance: Day 18
Psalm 24:3–4
“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD?”

Hebraic Root: נָקִי (Naqi)
Meaning: Clean, innocent, free from guilt.

The journey upward begins with clean hands and a pure heart.

The Hebrew word naqi reminds us that God prepares us for His presence by cleansing both our actions and our motives. ❤️‍🔥🕊️📯

Repentance: Day 17
James 4:8–10
“Draw near to God…”

Hebraic Root: קָרַב (Qarab)
Meaning: To draw near, approach.

Repentance always shortens the distance between us and God.

Today we embrace qarab, choosing to take one step toward Him with the confidence that He gladly meets us there. ❤️‍🔥🕊️📯

Repentance: Day 16
Hosea 14:1–2
“Return, O Israel, unto the LORD.
Your sins have been your downfall!
Take words (Laqach) with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him:
“Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.”

Hebraic Root: לָקַח (Laqach)
Meaning: To take, receive.

The prophet tells us, “Take words with you.”

Laqach reminds us that repentance isn’t empty emotion, it comes with intentional words of surrender offered from a willing heart. ❤️‍🔥🕊️📯

Isaiah and His Children as Signs

Isaiah 8:1-4; 16-18
“The Lord said to me, “Take a large scroll and write on it with an ordinary pen: Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.”

So I called in Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberekiah as reliable witnesses for me. Then I made love to the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son.

And the Lord said to me, “Name him Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. For before the boy knows how to say ‘My father’ or ‘My mother,’ the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off by the king of Assyria.”

Verses 16-18
“Bind up this testimony of warning and seal up God’s instruction among my disciples. I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the descendants of Jacob.
I will put my trust in him.

Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the Lord Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.

In the significance of his own name Isaiah (Salvation of Jehovah) and of the names of his sons: Shear-Jashub (Remnant shall return) and Maher-shalal-hash-baz (Speed-plunder, Haste-spoil,) we find clear revelation of God’s prophetic word for Israel’s future.

Each of their names were a “sign” an (ot) a prophetic sign and marker for those who had “ears to hear”.

Scripture records both of Isaiah’s sons names were symbolic, containing messages of warning as well as redemption from God to Judah’s king Ahaz and, in the same way, declare a message to us today

Isaiah = yesha'yahu: “God saves.”

Shear-jashub: The remnant shall return; what is left behind shall be brought back; the residue shall be recovered and the remainder shall be recalled.

Maher-shalal-hash-baz: “Speed-spoil-hasten-plunder” or “Swift to the spoil, quick to the plunder.”

Isaiah and his children were signs and symbols of God’s purpose and plan, of His redemption…opening a way for itself even through judgment.

And so, he (Isaiah) presents himself to the Lord with his children, puts himself and them into His hands.

He understood full well, that his children were not only God’s gift, but that they were for a higher purpose than just every-day family enjoyment.

They were purposed of signs and types in connection with the history of salvation.

And In the same way that Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz’s name was written into a LEGAL CONTRACT before he was even conceived,
we each have a DIVINE “SCROLL” where God has written the plan/purpose for our entire lives before we were conceived (Psalm 139:16 Jeremiah 1:5), even before the beginning of time (Romans 8:29–30; Ephesians 1:4–5; 2 Timothy 1:9).

And so Today, reMEMber:
No matter what form of evil surrounds us or what evil weapons form against us, you and I and our ‘children’ are a SIGN AND WONDER that YESHUA SAVES.

WE ARE THE GENERATION THAT DECLARE THE SIGN AND WONDER OF GOD TO THE WORLD!

Psalm 139:16
“Your eyes saw my embryo, and on your scroll every day was written that was being formed for me, before any one of them had yet happened.”

Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born jI consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Psalm 40:6-8
Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but my ears You have opened. Burnt offerings and sin offering. You did not require.

Then I said, “Here I am, I have come, it is written about me in the scroll: I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.”

Romans 8:29-30
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

And those whom He predestined He also called, and those whom He called He also justified, and those whom He justified He also glorified.”

Ephesians 1:4-5
“even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

Repentance : Day 15

1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive…”

Hebraic Root: טָהֵר (Taher)
Meaning: To cleanse, purify, make clean.

God never forgives halfway.
The Hebrew word taher reminds us that His desire isn’t merely to pardon us, but to cleanse us so we can walk forward in purity and freedom.

Repentance isn’t always weeping, sackcloth and ashes. Sometimes repentance looks like casting down apathy, lukewarmness and double mindedness.

Repentance: Day 13
Ezekiel 18:30–31

“Repent…Cast away from you all your transgressions…”

Hebraic Root: שׁוּב (Shuv)
Meaning: To return, turn back, restore.

God’s invitation has never been “try harder” - it has always been “come home.” The Hebrew word shuv paints repentance as returning to the One who has never stopped waiting for us. ❤️‍🔥🕊️📯

Repentance: Day 14
Psalm 32:5
“I acknowledged my sin unto Thee…”

Hebraic Root: כָּסָה (Kasah)
Meaning: To cover, conceal.

Healing begins where hiding ends.

Today we contrast kasah: to cover, with God’s invitation to uncover our hearts before Him, trusting His forgiveness to cover what we can no longer hide.
