Both our Math and Reading and Writing programs are aligned to United States educational standards. This means that while the work your child completes in Eye Level may not correlate exactly to what they are doing in the classroom, it does support and advance their understanding of their classroom work. Each of our programs require the student to come to class in the center at least once a week. Your child will come for a 1-2 hour class in our center either once or twice a week to work on his/her individualized program. While homework is not required, we do encourage parents to consider taking homework after class. Homework is most effective if students complete a small amount (10-15 minutes) every night, rather than try and complete the work all at once. We believe that small amount of consistent work every day will help your child to develop a more thorough and innate understanding of the material. Additionally, our program works most effectively with long-term participation. This relates to the idea that a small amount of consistent work will give your child greater benefit, than a large amount of inconsistent work that he/she is likely to forget.
