The College of Staten Island Alumni Association was proud to participate in a beach cleanup on June 7 at Page Avenue Beach in recognition of World Ocean Day.

We extend our sincere gratitude to John Kilcullen and Carmine Raimondi of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation for their partnership and support in coordinating this meaningful event.

A special thank you to our alumni, as well as the friends and family members who joined us in this community service effort. Your dedication and enthusiasm helped make the day a tremendous success.

It was inspiring to come together on a beautiful day to contribute to the preservation of our local environment and help keep Staten Island’s beaches clean for everyone to enjoy. Events like these demonstrate the power of community engagement and our shared responsibility to protect the natural resources that enrich our borough.

This past weekend, the College of Staten Island Alumni Association had the pleasure of volunteering at the Admitted Student Conference, welcoming the next generation of College of Staten Island (CSI) Dolphins.

It was incredibly rewarding to greet incoming students and their families as they begin this exciting new chapter. What made the experience even more special was seeing so many parents who are proud CSI alumni!! a powerful reminder that our community spans generations and continues to grow stronger.

Moments like these reflect the true impact of our alumni network. By showing up, sharing our experiences, and offering support, we help foster a sense of belonging before students even step into their first class.

This is a unique opportunity to support CSI, connect with fellow alumni, and make a lasting impact through leadership and service.

We are especially looking for alumni with experience in:
• Accounting
• Social Media
• Event Planning
• Grant Writing

Board Member Commitment includes:
▪️ In-person meetings on the 2nd or 3rd Monday of each month (September–June)
▪️ Participation in alumni events and community sponsorships throughout the year
▪️ A three-year term of service

Today, the College of Staten Island Alumni Association had the privilege of joining the College of Staten Island (CSI) in welcoming hundreds of newly admitted students during the Admitted Student Conference.

There is something truly special about witnessing the beginning of a student’s academic journey, knowing at all the alumni stood in their footsteps at one point as new students to the campus. These moments represent more than just enrollment, they mark the start of growth, discovery, and the shaping of future leaders who will go on to impact their communities and beyond.

For so many of us, the CSI is more than a campus; it is a place where lifelong friendships are formed, ideas are cultivated, and possibilities expand far beyond the classroom. As alumni, it is both an honor and a responsibility to help welcome the next generation and remind them that they now belong to a community that will support them long after graduation.

Wishing all of our new Dolphins a future filled with opportunity, achievement, and purpose. We are proud to welcome you to the CSI family.
