Meet Bo McDougall, our new Activities & Athletics Director!

Bo McDougall brings nearly 20 years of experience in education, athletics, and leadership to Rutland City Public Schools. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director of Leadership Giving at Vermont State University after a 17-year collegiate coaching career, including 12 seasons as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Castleton University. A graduate of St. Lawrence University, where he was a two-sport student-athlete in football and lacrosse, Bo has dedicated his career to supporting students through education and athletics.

Bo is also familiar with the Rutland community, having previously served as an assistant coach for football and lacrosse at Rutland High School and as head boys lacrosse coach during the 2026 season.

Bo lives in Rutland with his wife, Katie, and their daughter, Nora, who will be starting kindergarten in Rutland this fall. He looks forward to partnering with students, families, coaches, and the community to provide meaningful experiences through activities and athletics.
