Happy Friday!

Before you rush into the weekend, take a few minutes to look back on your week.

Friday is more than just the end of the workweek. It can also be a great opportunity to pause, reflect, and learn from everything the week brought your way.

Ask yourself:

What did I accomplish this week?
Even the small wins count.

What went well?
Identify what helped you make progress so you can do more of it.

What didn't go as planned?
Don't judge yourself. Ask what the experience taught you.

What can I do differently next week?
Turn this week's lessons into next week's strategy.

What am I proud of?
Your effort matters, even when the results weren't exactly what you hoped for.

Remember, every week doesn't have to be perfect to be productive. Sometimes the biggest result is the lesson you take with you.

So before you close the week, reflect, appreciate your progress, learn from your experiences, and prepare for a fresh start.

Happy Friday!
Wishing you a peaceful weekend and renewed energy for the week ahead.
What is one thing you're proud of accomplishing this week? Tell me in the comments.

A new month is here, bringing with it new possibilities, fresh beginnings, and another opportunity to keep moving forward.

Whatever the past month looked like, you made it through. Take a moment to acknowledge that.

May this new month bring you peace in your heart, strength for the journey, beautiful moments with the people you love, and reasons to smile.

Don't feel pressured to have everything figured out. Take things one day at a time. Celebrate the small wins, embrace new beginnings, and keep believing that better days are ahead.

Here's to a beautiful October!

Happy New Month!

May this month be kind to you.

Some stories do more than entertain us. They make us pause, reflect, and see the struggles of others through a different lens.
What's Wrong with Dad? explores one of the most difficult challenges a family can face: loving someone who is struggling with alcohol addiction.
Behind addiction are painful experiences, difficult choices, and family members hoping for things to change. This is a story of love, struggle, resilience, and the strength it takes to heal.
A reader's review:
“What's Wrong with Dad? directly hits on a very difficult subject for families with a loved one who is struggling with an alcohol addiction. The story is heartfelt and engaging, handling the highs and lows of addiction with grit and grace.”
Books like this remind us that sometimes, understanding begins with a story.

What If the Child Being Bullied Never Tells You?

Not every child who is being bullied will come home and say, “Someone is bullying me.”

Sometimes, the signs are much quieter.

They may suddenly stop wanting to go to school.
They may become withdrawn or unusually quiet.
Their confidence may change.
They may start avoiding friends or activities they once enjoyed.

And sometimes, they may simply say, “I’m fine, when they really aren't.

That’s why it’s important to create a safe space where children know they can talk about what they're experiencing without feeling ashamed, blamed, or afraid.

As parents, teachers, and caregivers, we can make a difference by listening, asking questions, paying attention to changes, and reminding children that **they don't have to face bullying alone.

Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported.

Take The Bullying By The Horns is a book that encourages children and the adults around them to recognize bullying, talk about it, and take steps toward addressing it.

Don't ignore the signs. Start the conversation.

Sometimes Children Notice More Than We Think

Have you ever noticed that a child can tell when something is different, even when nobody says a word?

Maybe Dad seems quieter than usual.
Maybe he doesn't laugh as much.
Maybe he seems tired, frustrated, or distant.

A child may not understand exactly what is happening, but they can still feel that something has changed.

And sometimes, their first question is simply:

“What’s wrong with Dad?”

As parents, we may think we are protecting our children by hiding our difficult moments. But children also need reassurance, honest communication, and the understanding that adults can have difficult days too.

It’s okay to let children know that:

Adults have feelings too.
It’s healthy to talk about how we feel.
Asking questions is okay.
Difficult moments don't mean everything will always be difficult.

The goal isn't to burden children with adult problems. It's to help them understand emotions, empathy, and the importance of communication within a family.

What’s Wrong with Dad? explores these emotions through a child's perspective and opens the door for meaningful conversations between children and the adults they love.

Sometimes, asking “What’s wrong?” is the beginning of an important conversation.

Why We Should Never Teach Children to Hide Their Tears

Have you ever told a child, “Don’t cry” or “Be strong” when they were upset?

We often say these things because we want children to feel better. But sometimes, children need something different, they need to know that their emotions are safe to express.

Crying is not a sign of weakness. It can be a healthy way for children to process sadness, frustration, disappointment, fear, or even overwhelm.

When we allow children to express their emotions, we help them learn how to:

Identify and understand their feelings
Communicate instead of keeping everything inside
Develop emotional confidence
Ask for help when they need it
Build healthy emotional habits as they grow

Instead of saying, “Stop crying, we can try:

I can see that you're hurting.
It’s okay to feel sad.”
Do you want to tell me what happened?
I’m here with you.

Sometimes, the most powerful lesson we can teach a child is simply this:

Your feelings matter. You don't have to hide them.

That message is at the heart of *It’s OK to Cry*, a book created to help children understand that expressing emotions is a normal and healthy part of growing up.

Sometimes, it’s okay to cry.
