Our little learners in Ms. Samantha’s class have been diving into the wonderful world of the ocean this week! Through our ocean-themed learning centers, the children explored, discovered, and learned while having tons of fun!
Sensory bins helped strengthen sensory exploration.
Sorting and matching games built early math skills.
Sticker activities encouraged fine motor development and creativity.
Learning through play is one of the best ways for preschoolers to grow, and these ocean activities kept everyone engaged and smiling!

Physical education is an essential part of early childhood development. Through fun, age-appropriate games and activities, children build gross motor skills, improve balance and coordination, develop strength, and learn the importance of teamwork, listening, and following directions. Regular movement also supports healthy brain development, boosts confidence, and encourages lifelong healthy habits.
In our programs, we are incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Anita as our Physical Education teacher! Her enthusiasm, kindness, and creativity make every gym class an exciting adventure. Whether children are practicing new movement skills, playing cooperative games, or simply having fun while staying active, Ms. Anita creates a positive environment where every child feels encouraged to participate and succeed. So much fun has been happening in Ms. Aly’s class, we can’t share just one thing! What makes Ocean Week even better? Exploring real-life shells from Maine in our sensory table! The kids loved watching the shell colors change in the water, filling them up, and dumping them out. We also can’t forget making playdough with Ms. Rosemary! As part of the Start with the Arts program, she had a blast helping our students measure, pour, and mix their very own playdough batch. What a fantastic sensory week!

Ms. Luna’s class had an absolute blast embarking on a pirate adventure this week! Our little swashbucklers set sail by building their very own pirate ship, crafting custom bandanas, and charting secret paths on hand-made treasure maps. Ms. Lyonnie’s class had a splash-tastic week exploring the wonderful world of the ocean! The children loved diving into hands-on sensory fun at our ocean-themed water table and had a blast assembling (and eating!) a yummy beach-themed snack. Camp FROG enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) in Quechee, Vermont. The campers were fascinated by the birds of prey, learned about wildlife conservation, and explored the natural world through engaging, hands-on experiences. Afterwards, they returned and made bird feeders.
Both activities provided lots of smiles, learning, and fun, making for a fantastic time at camp!
